Ok here’s a quit shot of me with the kids at our little party. Laina is not going to be Scooby. She’s going to be a horse…or…riding a horse. I don’t know how to describe it. Scooby was last years costume that she begged for and then decided not to wear at the last minute.
Bye bye 40 bucks. I’m holding out that Kainoa will want it in a couple years.
Maile is going to be a princess. She’s not supposed to be a princess. That princess dress is from the dress up bucket. She’s supposed to be the pink unicorn version of Laina’s costume, but she changed her mind at the last minute and now she wants nothing to do with it.

Not only that, but she’s stealing my butterfly wings. I have great memories of my Dad dressing up for Halloween and I thought “hmm. I should re-create those memories for my kids too…” It never occurred to me that maybe Dad’s costume would look better on me. But it occurred to Maile. She asked to wear them and then fell in love. They do look cute on her. So now Maile is going to be a “fairy princess” who really doesn’t match.
But that’s ok. It’s not about matching you guys. Stop judging my five year old.
Kainoa is going to be a care bear and as you can see by the picture he is ECSTATIC about that. I don’t think he realizes how cute he is in that thing. I don’t think he knows how bad I want to glue it to his body and keep him like that forever. I’m hoping tonight he’ll be a little more cooperative. It’s supposed to be rainy and cold and that thing will keep him plenty warm.
