Ok it’s really not for dinner, but it IS a Fall favorite around here so grab a mixing bowl and let’s get started!!
First let’s meet your chef. Maile is a five year old with a fear of all things insect. This weekend I thought the girls would enjoy a day at a Butterfly exhibit and to my dismay they were the only children screaming bloody murder in the serene and peaceful habitat. After pointing out how beautiful the butterflies were and reminding them how much they love butterflies, Maile was quick to remind me, “yeah, but dey have da longs legs like da spiders”. At that I had to shrug my shoulders (and cringe) as I realized indeed she was right. Look closely enough and butterflies really are disgusting little creatures…what was I thinking??
Anywho…the first thing you’ll need to do is beat the sugar, oil and eggs in a large bowl
