Me: Why is there a giant Mickey Mouse in your car?
Pat: I brought it home from my sisters…I figure I can give it to the kids.
Me: Our kids don’t even like Mickey Mouse.
Pat: Sure they do. They’ll love it.
Me: Pat it’s gigantic. Do you really think we need to add a gigantic stuffed animal to any one of their rooms??
Pat: I’ll give it to Kainoa, that’s my boy, he’ll like it!
Me: And when he doesn’t…what will you do with it then??
Pat: I’ll sell it on ebay.
Me: riiiiight…because their are tons of people hitting up ebay for giant mickey mouses.
Pat: There’s a market for everything Kat. People love Mickey.
Saturday Pat put Kainoa into his car to go get coffee. Kainoa looked to see the back of a ginormous mouse head sitting in the seat next to him and stiffened. Just stiff and staring. He had no idea what that thing was and by the reaction to follow I’m willing to bet he thought the it was alive.
Pat flipped the mouse over with a “SEE Kainoa!! Mickey Mouse!” and was met with the loudest, girliest, highest pitched shriek you ever did hear leave a one year old boy’s mouth. Kainoa screamed so loud and was so terrified that Pat had to jump out of the car and throw the mouse into the house before leaving with his boy.
Now, after seeing us coddle the mouse in order to prove it’s harmlessness, Kainoa has cautiously accepted it and just laughs nervously when he’s near it…but he still doesn’t like it.
Bidding starts now…
