Your assignment for tomorrow is here!
A bunch of you did really cute re cap posts to start off 2009 and I wanted to copy. Here are some of my favorite pictures from 2008!! I tried to pick ones that you haven’t seen yet…
Pat and I brought in the New Year alone. Ahhhh. Enjoy the silence. This is actually one of my only pictures of JUST Pat and I post children. I’ve always got one hanging off a shoulder. They’re like my little monkeys. No worries, I was sure to snag another picture this year that should last another 12 months.
In February Kainoa was seven months old and had developed an unhealthy relationship with his blanket that is still going strong to this day.
In March Maile received her first hair cut.
In April, Laina discovered she liked acting like a baby/dog for attention…middle child syndrome developing nicely.
In May, Laina turned a very mature three…but continued acting like a dog/baby when she fancied.

In June we enjoyed some family time taking advantage of my sister’s exclusive pool memberhsip.
In July I was STOKED when Pat took the girls camping at with his sister at her cabin and I HAD to stay home with Kainoa…I thought I’d have tons of time to blog and not worry about bed time routines, but ended up rocking Kainoa to sleep anyways. Maybe next time I’ll tag along.
In August, we said good-bye to our foster son Cecil. Such a good boy…by the time he left I was SO ready for him to go…convinced a dog was not for us and that we would never ever ever ever get a dog, as well behaved as he was. Guess what…I’m thinking about fostering another one. The girls still talk about Cecil…maybe it’ll be fun.
In September, Kainoa outgrew his place on the counter.
In October, my sister and I posed with our trick or treaters (minus her little cub) and I ended the night hunched over like a little old lady with the worst back pain I’ve ever had. A sign that thirty was coming fo sho.
In November, I had the BEST idea to take the kids to the ocean during my break from the daycare. Maile was sick, it was ridiculously windy, and probably two degrees outside. Molding memories folks. Molding memories.
And lastly my favorite picture of 08 is our final family photo. Some changes of made…new babies and a brother in law welcomed, a sad good bye to a sister in law, and looking forward to 09.
