This is a glimpse of our next “it’s what’s for dinner” post. It looks like a boy apron is in our future…and by “our” I mean “Kainoa’s”.
Pat and I have been calling Kainoa “little Emeril” lately because any time I’m in the kitchen he MUST be held. He MUST know what is in those pots and could literally be attached to my hip and just. stare.I’m sure a lot of one-year-olds are like this. I vaguely remember Maile be as interested.
So I decided to take the plunge and give Kainoa his very first cooking lesson. It was a lot of work. Trying to help him pour things in a controlled fashion while holding the bowl still while moving other things away from his grabby hands and one-year-old attention span. Yeah. I was sweating.
But he was ADORABLE. And he loved it! Before I knew it he was pushing me away, determined to do it all himself.
