Haircut Much??

I’m in my flickr account right now, and I heard you can use your pictures in Flickr and put them on your blog…but I can’t figure out how to get a code for them.

Instead there’s a little button above the picture that says “blog this”…so I clicked that and this little box opened up next to my picture and it says “compose your blog entry”.

So I’m typing this.

But what I want to know is will it actually to post to my blog OR will it post as a “draft” that would allow me to make edits?

If it posts directly to my blog then tell me…is there a way to get a code for your pictures on flickr so that I can cut and paste them to my blog myself? How can I do a post with multiple pictures using flickr without using a copy/paste code method?

Pioneer Woman says it’s best to put your pictures in an account like this. She said when she switched blog domains and stopped using blogger her pictures would not transfer over because they were hosted by blogger.

Does that make sense? If you upload your pictures and videos to blogger and then decide to switch to wordpress or something else, then you risk losing all that stuff. It belongs to Blogger.

Pioneer Woman had to go back to her hard drive and find all the pictures she used and basically recreate each post. What a hassle! So I’m following her advice and uploading my pictures to flickr, which is working great…but now I need to figure out how to get a code from flickr because I don’t really want to WRITE my posts on Flickr.

Am I making any sense???

Ok…here’s the moment of truth…I’m going to click the little publish button and I’m hoping it’s going to save as a draft…but I have a feeling it’s going straight to my blog. And by “feeling” I mean that little button says “post entry” and not “save entry as a draft” so it’s pretty much telling me exactly what it’s going to do.

Will someone tell me how to get a code from flickr?

And will someone else please cut Kainoa’s hair?
