Isn't he a cutie?
I wanted to marry him, but things just did not pan out for us...I settled for making
him my favorite boy cousin instead.
And as it turns out the girl he's engaged to is a total babe so things really did work in his favor. I hear people aren't "into" marriage within the family. I respect that.
One thing you should know is that I'm not talking to you about this because everyone at the shower was all "omg are you gonna blog about this!?! You HAVE to blog about this!!"
That's not my style.
Ahem.
Did I mention that his mother is astonishingly beautiful?? Well she is.
2.) Did you guys know I'm like a super talented lip syncher? And by "super talented" I mean in sixth grade my family entered ourselves into a talent show and lost? Ten of us got together and practiced relentlessly to the sweet sounds of popular oldies hits.
Actually it was nine.
My little brother bailed due to the taxing choreography demands by my older sister. She wanted perfection. My part was Loco Motion or Local motion...or however you say it, and I really felt like my rendition should have secured us in that first place spot.
Alas.
It did not.
Someday when we can fish out the video...I'm gonna share it with you. Be excited.
2.) Rememeber a few months ago when I had been debating on whether or not I should adopt a kitty that I found at my doorstep? I took it to the humane society because I thought it might be sick and then tracked it on the internet for months to see if it had been adopted. After many guilt ridden nights and a phone call to the animal shelter, I told Pat I had had enough and that I was going to pick the kitty (Marci they named it) up THAT day.
I pulled the kitty up on the website to show Pat how she was still just sitting there in the cage and he decided to point out that the website I was looking at was in Kent, NY...not our state. He laughed hysterically when he realized I had been tracking the wrong cat and we have no idea what actually happened to the kitty I had taken a liking to.
Note the differences:

See how I might have been confused!! It's her nose that's totally different. One is all black the other is white.
Pat thinks the fact that the website says "KENT, NEW YORK" in the top corner should have triggered something in my brain. Nevermind the fact that I actually CALLED the shelter and offered to pay for the cat to get adopted...meaning anyone looking for a kitty would get that one for free. They took my name and number and I asked them to put a note on her cage to help her. Pat thinks the 631 area code should have triggered something in my brain...but....not so much.
Anyways, I've been asked for an update on Marci's status...and guess what? She's STILL THERE!!
Seriously. If you live in New York would you go get that poor cat!?! Consider her a personal gift from me to you. Poor thing. Click here to see here, she's the 11th kitty down.
3.) I think it's important to point out that video taping myself while driving is as safe as apple pie. And that's REALLY safe. Unless the apples were sprayed with pesticides and such and then not so much.
What I'm trying to say is that I know you are worried about me, but don't be. I video tape in 30 second snippets and it's usually while I'm driving in and out of my neighborhood...that way if I hit someone they know me and will totally understand and probably just laugh and wave me on.
Also you can't really tell when I'm wearing those giant sunglasses, but I'm not even looking at the camera. I'm just holding the it on the steering wheel and talking gibberish while my kids look on in a confused fashion.4.) Look what I bought! :) Remember Kainoa broke my sunglasses and I went shopping?? This is what I come home with when I go shopping for sunglasses...and this is why Pat likes me to stay home.

love the pictures - TGIF
Okay I am super excited about seeing the old video of the competion that you didn't win, and I wish I could go and get that kittie...so super cute!!!
You make me laugh...
that poor cat, I remember reading out her way back when. That cracks me up about the whole NY thing though.
Those black flats are super cute- good find!
Why can't I be funny like you?
I can't believe the free kitty is STILL not adopted. I'm sorry I don't live in NY (really I'm not that sorry).
It's LOCO-motion. Will there be karaoke in Vegas?
Post that video!! And that cat is adorable. Both of them. You know Ellen likes black and white cats too, right? Maybe using that similarity between you two will help you get onto her show.
Oh I love the photo... and family videos from old, ahhhhh :) I saw one of me from junior high and WOW.
Bummer on the kitty, but fingers crossed she find the right home soon!
Too funny. And when/if you ever find that video.. I'd even pay you to do a tutorial on how to upload DVD's so that they can be 'bloggable'.
Poor Kitty.
How do you get your family to read your blog? Do I actually have to write about those losers to get them to read it?
And the cat thing just cracks me up.
And I've been wondering about how you do those videos...I'm glad I don't live in your neighborhood1
Am I the only one that DOESN'T want people I know to read my blog lol. It's my venting place! I've told a few people about it that I know and now I feel like I have to be all nice and crap lol.
I think we should all pitch in for the kitty and we can get it mailed to you :)
You are the coolest girl in the world.
I wouldn't have even realized the cat thing either!
I'm so sure you're popular with your cousin and his soon to be wife seein' that you're blogging about the family and all.
Now, had it been a different family, there would've maybe been talk about Aunt Janie's wearing a thong at the age of 70, Grandma getting toasted at the age of 80 and Selma Sue having gained a few pounds and being asked if she was pregnant or not. Good for you for keeping it sweet and nice!
Aw, poor kitty! If I were in NY, I would totally get her out of that place.
I have a new found respect for being cooped up for long periods at a time and it aint no picnic!
Poor cat...BUT your story about the lip-synching family is GREAT. Vision of The Partridges...only better.
Love the pics, and the post. :-)
Seriously, I am not in new york either, but I am hoping to visit before the summer is over. If I do, I will get in touch with you before I go and see if I could possibly get the kitty. I am completely obsessed with my cat, and I think he needs a girlfriend to cuddle with.
As long as you *promise* you're safe when recording your vlogs, I can't judge.
And, another thing, you totally listed "2" twice in this post, which gave me a brilliant idea to make a post like this, but number them all wrong to see who notices.
Happy weekend!
I love your writer's prompts. Thanks for helping with writer block!
you need to bust out that loca motion video! woo woo!! and i love the new purchases!
Was the talent competition in Florida? I understand they might have problems counting ballots down there. You should have asked for a recount. I sense a scandal! I can't imagine any talent greater than your lip synchin' family.
Love the photos - as usual.
Enjoy your weekend.
Actually, Marci looks a little pissed off in her photo.
Given that you are offering to 'buy' a lil catten in N.Y. for anyone who wants it Pat should really be grateful that you only bought a few t-shirts, some glasses and a cutie pair of shoes!
BTW your cousin and you sure would have made cute kids. Obviously NOT as cute as the ones you got but you know
I think it's really considerate of you to only endanger people in your neighborhood when you video tape yourself in the car. So sweet!
I hope someone adopts Marci soon...poor kitty!
1st off...you may want to check out the numbering system you chose to use in your bullets.
2nd....I think the cats look very similar! I was totally confused too.
3rd...At least you still got some new sunglasses! Very cute stuff!!
Quoting my daughter who is perched on my lap: "Will you stop laughing? Are you gonna get the hiccups or something?"
I don't know why I haven't been "officially" following you. 'Cause I heart your blog. You make me laugh every time I stop by. Thanks for that!
Oh,and is it wrong that I never thought twice about you video taping yourself while driving?
