Boy Talk With Maile

I snuck a camera with me into Maile's room while she rambled on for 15 minutes about school...I spared you 13 of those super cute minutes and will share only the 1 minute and 47 seconds that involve Maile's crush.

Dang she's adorable! Just her face as she tries to contain her laughter and then busts out....love it!

A sneak peak into the video for those of you who aren't the "video watching" kind:

Maile is candid about how she doesn't follow Jacob anymore because apparently he doesn't like it.

Maile liked the idea of buying her teacher a new umbrella after hers was lost in the recycling bin at school...and actually that portion of the video is in the 13.53 minutes not shown. I just liked the pleased look on her face.

Maile doesn't like that a boy calls her Miley Cyrus...she cracks up when I suggest she call him Mr. Noodle...I LOVE this picture. So textbook Maile to me. Dying laughing, but at the expense of someone else. She's the friend that falls over laughing when your ankle gives out in the hallway...oh she'll help you up...but she'll be cackling the entire time.

You can just SEE her picturing someone calling that kid Mr. Noodle...love. it.

mmm...young love.
Reminds me when my kindergarden-aged brother came up with a girlfriend. 'twas the funniest thing. Until one day I asked about her.
"How is Vanessa?"
"Oh, she's not my girlfriend anymore"
"Oh? Why not?"
"She's a vampire"

heeheehee...a good a reason as any I suppose

Reminds me of the time the boys on the bus kept asking me if I lost my Marbles...I would answer "No, she's at home!!!" They would roll with laughter, this was an everyday occurence. Finally I went home and asked my mom "How do they know I have a cat named Marbles?"

Maile is adorable, and that is an infectious laugh!

These are my favorite kind of conversations with my daughter. Makes me wish I could make time stand still.

Tell her to make sure she knows how to duck.

I kissed a cute boy when I was her age and he hauled off and tried to deck me.

Ducking in time is a good thing.

That is how I am - My friend falls and I have troubling helping her up because I am laughing.
My new standard response when someone falls is "Is it ok to laugh".
She is too cute!

great video, she's hysterical, just like her mama. is it wrong to laugh at people when they fall, or injure themselves? i do that all the time, even when my own kid busts it. i sometimes help, but i prefer to laugh.

That was awesome! I love hearing the interaction between you too. You can tell you both truly love each other.
We aren't to the liking boys/girls stage yet but I know it will come all too soon.

I'm totally the friend who is dying of laughter when someone falls or trips. I've also been known to get into laughing fits over the sigh that happens when you're trying to stop laughing. The life of a giggler will never be dull.
:D

I love this video. I love how she said she "freaked out." SO cute!

Is that a Tinkerbell fleece blankie I spy on her bed? If so, we have the same one x 2 at our house!!!

She is a doll. You are a lucky mama!

This is PRECIOUS. You're one lucky mama. My mom would have totally discouraged any boy talk at that age, so way to embrace it and be cool. :)

I had a feeling this was going to be great, so I called over my daughter and we watched together. She also cracked up as soon as you said Mr. Noodle. Nothing sweeter than that sound, and I also love the twinkle in Maile's eyes.
