These people will pay me $50 to dress up as a Disney Princess for a little girl’s birthday party. What will YOU pay me to do it and blog about it. Times are tough ya know.

“Hi
I am looking for a young adult ( at least 18) that would be interested in performing at my daughters 5th birthday party. You would have to get your own princess dress which I’m sure you could get at the party store, you might even be able to rent one?? The party is January 9th and you would have to be here for proble an hour and a half, max proble 12 kids- I’m looking to pay around $50- if you could do face painting or know some dance I might be able to pay a little more. So if this sounds like something you’d be interested in or know someone that might be please let me know!
Thanks! “
And I will hereby set up a trust in the amount of $50 for the well written bloggy friend who can step up and create an obituary for me after I die such as this one. One less thing for my family to think about. Thanks in advance:

“Karen Lee Born May 7th, 1953, returning suddenly December 20th, 2009. From the garden of Karen’s heart, sprouted the warmth of understanding and compassion, the fruits of generosity, giving and kindness, and the sweet blossoms of beauty and love. The strength of her roots has bound our hearts together forever. As a pebble in the sands of time, her life was genuine, pure and honest. We will follow her footprints, beachcombing through the shores of Eternity.”
Is it weird that my Mom found that obituary and printed it out to give to me when I stopped by for a visit? She knows nobody appreciates the depth and personal growth to be gained by flowery langauage like I do. Like a river overflowing with majesty from a mountain’s highest peaks…so too is my love for beautiful language. Though I am still impartial to my original obituary. I DON’T WANT TO DIE!!!
My assistant shared a fantastic email with me that highlighted some of the dumbest things people have done on Facebook. It’s hilarious…but you all can’t handle some of the filthy language so I’m keeping it off the blog. I will share a couple of the less offensive status updates with you…there’s still some rough language though, so brace yourself Pollyanna:

$50 is nowhere near enough to get me to dress up in a costume and perform. Unless I’m drunk, but that’s hardly the point.
The Facebook stuff is hilarious!

You like to dress up, don’t you? Isn’t Halloween one of your favorite holidays? Sounds to me like this is a slam dunk!

If anyone would believe I could be a princess (i.e. if I were about a foot taller and 30 pounds slimmer with longer hair), I would do it for $50. I’d even face paint…or at least get some temporary tattoos. Sparkly ones even. LOL
Poor Caitlyn… :(

oh my……that is some crazy stuff!!!!!!
but i did laugh!!!!

I totally need a computer lesson from you! How do you do all that funky stuff? (I totally know that wasn’t the point of your post, but truth be told, I’m rarely on the same page as everyone else! lol)

What funky stuff?? You mean the screen pictures?
When you’re on the screen you want a still frame of click that fn button with the circle on it on your keyboard (lower lefthand corner) and then push the “prt sc” button at the same time. Open up paintbrush or whatever program you have on your computer like that and click “paste”. It should show up.
I’ll put a more detailed explanation in the blog tips….unless that’s not what you were asking about…

You could be a perfect princess! I would love to be at the party and watch you! $50 and you have to get your own costume out of that money? An hour and a half, not just stopping by for an appearance? I don’t think it is enough money. But, still would like to see some pics of you doing it. I got $5.
My husband is a HS coach and I had once thought about asking one of the boys on his team if they would sport some black pants and a blue shirt and come and be one of the Wiggles. But…we went with the Train party instead. Darn it, I thought it was a good idea.
Love the Facebook stuff…funny!

I know people put “lol” all the time but that last FB update really made me LOL!!!
Now I need to repent for having read the word asshole. And now for writing it too. Please pray for my soul.

Oh please, please, PLEASE learn a dance and go do that, and vlog it…please?
Those facebook statuses are awesome. More, please!
[Reply]
Where do you find this stuff?! It’s hilarious!
[Reply]
I love the facebook postings. I saw that in an email and glad you posted it! Just too funny to miss.
I wouldn’t pay you, but anything involving classic dance moves like the running man and roger rabbit are always my favorite! :)
[Reply]
You did Wonder Woman…for free, the Princess gig should be right up your alley.
I freaked once when I read my daughter’s blog on Myspace…lots of stuff a mom doesn’t ever need to know. Lucky for both of us, she’s tamed it down a bit on FB (and she’s a grownup now).
And I bet those folks never once thought that this stuff could be copied and pasted for zillions of strangers to read!
[Reply]
OH MY GOSH! hahaha! Those are crazy!
[Reply]
I love it! $50 buck isn’t enough though unless you were willing to do it for free which I totally think is a great choice. I’d love to see your face painting skills and maybe you can make some balloon animals….please. Oh but you’ll have to bring your own balloons and paint.
[Reply]
Those facebook things are genius!!!
Um, Disney Princess? I might pay you to do it too!
[Reply]
$50 to dress like a princess, rent your own gown, get ready, drive over, entertain 12 obnoxious girls, face painting and teaching them how to dance? Really! No way, now how!

Hahaha…EXACTLY! Who would do such a thing??
[Reply]
LOL…you will have to buy your own dress! Don’t you already have one?
This post was chock full of bloggerly wonderfulness and wisdomly insight. and people should stop using that offensive word so much; it’s pretty much losing its shock value.
Happy New Year.

LOL!!! Love the facebook statuses! Was that on collegehumor.com? They have some funny stuff like that sometimes, too.
We paid a guy $35 to wear a red Power Ranger suit (that was 2 sizes too small) and show up at Kyle’s 5th brithday party with goodie bags and a gift. It was awesome. He really got into it and the kids were stunned. We grownups were dying laughing.
[Reply]
I’m pretty sure the $50 she is paying isn’t going to cover the costume fee. But nice try.
[Reply]
Oh my gosh- that FB stuff is HILARIOUS! I’m not willing to fork over money to see you dress up as a princess, but I am willing to laugh outrageously at your blog post about it. That counts for something, right? Yeah, I thought so too.
[Reply]
$50 for that humiliation? You may need the obituary after that :) People are ummm a bit more expensive around here. Unfortunately.
LOVE the FB updates. Apparently I need to go spend some more quality time around there!

So did you take the job?

Yes. I’ll be at your place around noon?

Pollyanna is laughing. ;-) If my kid wanted a princess party, I would SO want you to be the princess!!! Do it, Mama Kat!
And, since you are not going to die for a VERY long time, I say just give your family that obituary and tell them it will do nicely.
[Reply]
LMAO!! That’s hilarious…the Facebook status’. I’m still amazed by the things people say. Case in point….my SIL. We just deleted her yesterday cause it was just too much. LAME! lol
[Reply]
“max proble 12 kids” LOL I think I’d need at least $50 per kid….”proble” :D And I’ve seen some crazy updates on Facebook too. That last one you showed was a lil sad :(

I love the one where Mom likes her son’s update status!! Hahaha! Too funny. And you should totally dress up as a princess. $50 isn’t bad!
[Reply]
I want to dress up like Sleeping Beauty and nap on the couch at the Party.
Sleeping Beauty gig = easiest cash ever.
[Reply]
That Facebook stuff is hilarious!! Wow, the boyfriend and car thing is awful! So, are you going to take the job? You could probably whip up some face painting and make more! You are pretty crafty. I’ve seen some of your videos!

Hahaha…umm yeah that would be a giant NO. Maybe I could send the dog to do the dirty work. He’d make a great Ariel.

The Facebook stuff is hilarious…thanks for the laugh I really needed it today. As always Momma Kat comes through when I need laughter the most. :)
So are we going to be seeing you in a princess costume entertaining small children…I think you should go as Cinderella…you look like a Cinderella ;)
[Reply]
$50 / hr is the going rate for a “princess” these days and yes, costumes, war paint and travel to and from work is NOT included (although entertaining twelve would cost a lot more). And that is some funky stuff, Mama Kat! The Facebook stuff is hilarious and I am not surprised that a mom would be happy that her son is no longer in a “dryspell”. Too funny.
[Reply]
And I recommend Tinkerbell (but only for Pat).
[Reply]
Happy Belated Birthday! Hope you had a good day!

Trying again…

LURVE the freakin’ hilarious FB updates….totally made my day:)

I couldn’t stop cracking up at the facebook stuff. My hubby thought I was crazy, lol =}
[Reply]
I am SO laughing that she will pay MORE if you can do a dance or face paint : ) How funny! How much does a freaking princess dress for a grown up cost any way? I think you would have to spend your entire check just to look like a princess : )
Those facebook status’ are HILARIOUS! Love, Pollyanna
[Reply]
Now Who says Facebook is a waste of time? That TOTALLY made my day just reading it. It’s nice to know other people can be as stupid and socially inept as me.

Oh I love that FB stuff … totally cracked me up.
