I didn’t see this before the conference, but having attended 4 conferences in the last year, I’d say this is one of the best lists that REALLY prepares you. We all know you need to bring your undies, but forget to check our expectations at the door. LOL!

I didn’t get to formally meet you at Bloggy Bootcamp, but loved hearing you speak.

Awesome post! I can hardly wait! I love that you stated the obvious in all of these ‘sections’ — however, they’re not so obvious to some (!). Question – Do you really go by “Kat”? I ask, b/c I do… and I just have to make sure I don’t get up on the Podium when they call “Kat” to come up and speak, as I may not be prepared w/any cue cards or ‘shout out’ cards (please give me one if you’re being serious!). If something comes up, or you sleep in that morning, just lemme know! I can easily squeeze up on stage for you, no sweat!

Great tip about phone numbers. I have actually been wondering about that as well. With alot of us arriving at different times Friday, I think we should exchange #’s so that as we get in we can call someone there and see where to head. Especially for the dinner out Friday night.

And definitely leave your expectations at the door! When I went to the Wisk event and got to meet up with a lot of the bloggers I love, I was so glad I didn’t go in with expectations of loving everyone I meet or everyone I met loving me!

I would LOVE to go to a blog conference sometime but until I convince my husband that I’m not a cyber-dork, I don’t imagine him agreeing to shell out big bucks for me to go on a weekend-long girls night out in the forseeable future. But maybe.

Also, I want to go to one that does NOT tell me how to adgitize my blog, or talk about SEO, etc. However I DO want to learn things about making my blog prettier and what widgets are helpful and which ones are annoying and how in the hell to figure out feedburner. That one would be nice.

This sounds like fun, one day I might have to head to one of these after life slows down. You always make me laugh with your posts – which is a saving grace on my “glass half-empty” days living in the NICU (almost done with life at the hospital though!), so I will definitely bring you a present if we should ever meet. Have a great time at the conference!
