Your Assignment, Should You Choose To Accept

by Mama Kat on 02/09/2010 · 23 comments

Directions: You can learn more about Writer’s Workshop here….it’s never to late to jump in!! Here is what you must do:

  • Choose a prompt that inspires you most.
  • Write.
  • Come back this Thursday and paste the URL to your actual post (do this by clicking the title of your post after you hit publish, an extended URL will come up in the address bar. That’s the URL you want to use) into the Mister Linky that will be up…this way anyone can click on your name and head over to your place to see what you wrote.

Feel free to write on more than one prompt if you so desire. I do it all the time, but it’s my game…and I don’t know how to shut-up…so it should be expected. And remember the more comment love you give, the more comment love you get so comment comment away.

The Prompts:

Which one will YOU choose??

1.) Write a mock interview with a celeb of your choosing. Take advantage of having the power to make it go however you dream.
(inspired by Jessi from Shuggilippo)

2.) Describe your worst winter weather story.
(inspired by Alisha from A Day In The Life Of Okie Rednecks)

3.) Tell us about that scar.
(inspired by Katie from Rooftop Harmonies)

4.) A list of dos and don’ts.

5.) Write a poem to your love for Valentine’s Day. :)

If you have a chance, try to stop by and say hi to the person who inspired the prompt you’ll be writing on this week.

Know what’s funny? I was thinking the other day about doing a post about the history of my scars, especially since most of them are cooking related. This kills two birds with one stone!

Finally! The hot water that flew out of that damn piece of ziti gets a blog entry of its own! Yes!

I’ll have to try to get a post up this week. I’ve missed the past couple of weeks. Here’s to hoping.

Finally I get to see the posts before the day OF. I’ve been slack in that department! Fun stuff!

Dear Kat,

It’s entirely too early to have me thinking about things like this. I prefer more thoughtless text such as gossip on The Bachelor.

With all my love,

Jessica

WOW! I go three weeks without participating because I don’t relate to any of the the prompts and this week I’m inspired to write all of them! I don’t know what to do now, that’s going to be a LONG post! Haha!

I’ve been posting all week about my weather nightmares. But, over the next 24 hours, we’re supposed to get another foot over the 3 feet we already got. I’m sure I can come up with some more nightmare stories!

Thanks for these writing prompts. I was surpised by how easily the words flowed right out onto the screen.
