Directions: You can learn more about Writer’s Workshop here….it’s never to late to jump in!! Here is what you must do:
- Choose a prompt that inspires you most.
- Come back this Thursday and paste the URL to your actual post (do this by clicking the title of your post after you hit publish, an extended URL will come up in the address bar. That’s the URL you want to use) into the Mister Linky that will be up…this way anyone can click on your name and head over to your place to see what you wrote.
Feel free to write on more than one prompt if you so desire. I do it all the time, but it’s my game…and I don’t know how to shut-up…so it should be expected. And remember the more comment love you give, the more comment love you get so comment comment away.
1.) You’re so vain. You probably think this post is about you…don’t you?
2.) Tell us about your trip!
3.) A difficult conversation.
4.) Can you almost stop time with your words? Write about the fastest ride you ever had, but describe only a few seconds of it…as though it was happening to slow motion.
5.) Who blind-sided you? Write about a time someone caught you totally off guard.
I’m torn on this one. #1 would be fun, but I have a feeling a lot of people would be able to figure out who I was writing about and hence there would be no mystery. I would end the post by saying something like, “you’re so vain. You probably think this post is about you. And you’re right. It is. Suck it.” So maybe not that one.
I’m leaving for Baltimore on Thursday and that would be an easy trip to write about. Although I don’t know what more I would say other than “I’m leaving for Baltimore on Thursday” and I just said that so maybe not that one.
I have a great conversation with Maile that was difficult for me to maneuver my way through…that would be easy to write and I’ve been meaning on talking about it for awhile now anyways.
#4 would be fun and different…I think I’d choose a car accident I was in and replay some of it in slow motion, but make it funny. Because car accidents are hilarious. Or maybe not.
#5 would be easiest because a poem I wrote in college instantly came to mind when I read that prompt and I could easily just re post it. Plus I like the poem and that’s always a bonus.
I don’t know….which one are you writing on??
