Your Assignment, Should You Choose To Accept

Directions: You can learn more about Writer’s Workshop here….it’s never to late to jump in!! Here is what you must do:

  • Choose a prompt that inspires you most.
  • Write.
  • Come back this Thursday and paste the URL to your actual post (do this by clicking the title of your post after you hit publish, an extended URL will come up in the address bar. That’s the URL you want to use) into the Mister Linky that will be up…this way anyone can click on your name and head over to your place to see what you wrote.

Feel free to write on more than one prompt if you so desire. I do it all the time, but it’s my game…and I don’t know how to shut-up…so it should be expected. And remember the more comment love you give, the more comment love you get so comment comment away.

The Prompts:

1.) Write a letter to yourself from someone who has passed on. (ie: parent, grandparent, famous person, friend, pet, etc)

2.) Create and share a Whrrl story.

3.) Write a Haiku that describes what you love about an ordinary day.

4.) What lights your fire? Describe five things you are most passionate about.

5.) Share some photos and stories as well as what you love about spring.

Ooh – I’ll play! (I actually wrote one a couple weeks ago but it ended up being far too personal so it sits as a draft…)

I have been wanting to make a Bloggy Boot Camp Whrrl story. Here’s my excuse!

So are you still giving away baby mice??

OMG, you are killing me lady! I just finished crying….not really bad cry, a missing cry (I did the letter). On my Grandpa’s grave it said he fought the good fight and won…and he did, but I still miss him. Are you trying to make me have some crazy kind of break-through lol. Thanks for helping me get some stuff out that needed to be gotten out!

i was already thinking about writing something like the letter from someone who has passed on, but you beat me to it! i didnt expect tears to fall, but this exercise was really cathartic for me.

Hehe love your photo whirrl, having one of those trying to hide laughing while drinking coffee at work moments. Thank goodness for the box of tissues on my desk!

I’ve got to write my haiku prompt today, think it’s going to be a haiku week – never a bad thing! Hope you’ve got some glorious sunshine like we do in Scotland today.

Should I be offended that my Writer’s Workshop suggestions did not make the cut? I’m confused.

Were they too good? That must be it. I am sure that you are just saving them for an extra special post.

I’m going for the letter – I’ve been wondering what Pop-Pop would say about this mess right now. Time to write it out.

LOL! I loved your Whrrl story; I’ve never heard of that before! I’m leaning towards posting about what I’m currently passionate about… mostly because I’ve been feeling rather un-passionate lately and need to inspire myself!

Apparently my prompt is going to flood blogs with tears. Sorry everyone, but it’ll be healing!

I’m sorry. I don’t mean to be a pain. I LOVE these prompts, and participate EVERY week…but every time I try to include your button, my whole post ends up as the ‘link’ and is underlined….is there a way you can fix your button?

oh…nevermind. DH showed me how to fix it. ~blush ’cause I’m dumb.~
