Three Years Ago Today…

August 24, 2010 · 24 comments

Three years ago to the day I was blogging about Laina’s obsession with dogs and how she was slowly becoming one.

Three Years Ago Today...

Now she’s freaking five!

I feel like I’ve freeze framed her at two though, because she’s still such a baby to me. I can’t believe I have to let her go to school. I can’t believe she’s old enough!

I can’t believe that when I wrote that post I had a one month old baby attached to my boob and that HE is now the one acting like the goofy dog and before you know it, I’m going to be remembering back on THIS day and blogging about how I can’t believe HE’S going to Kindergarten soon.

Three Years Ago Today...

Where does the time go? And why is it that I stopped aging at about 24 and yet all these people around me seem to be growing so fast?

Am I timeless?

The lucky moms quit aging. In fact, my daughters are now older than me…weird, I know, but it happened.

So my pride at their growing up is turning more to pity as I watch them age, and I still am the stunner I was decades ago. Sucks to be them, I know.

Well, I stopped having birthdays at age 39. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it. Bless the students who think I’m only 30, even if they think that’s old.

Yes you are timeless! LOL… I recently tried to lie about my age at a family reunion and was not happy when someone called me out! In my mind I’m 10 years younger and that’s all that counts!

What, wait, you can’t stop time?!

Aw, man.

I bet Wonder Woman could.

I will forever be 30 and my baby will forever be just that, my baby. =)

And, yes, you’re timeless. Did you need us to tell you? Gawsh…

I feel the same way all the time. Like time stopped when they were born except it’s still moving for everyone else!

Definitely timeless.

My goddaughter is a junior in high school this year. I have no idea how that happened. I told David that no one I’m old enough to have changed their diapers should be that close to graduating from high school.

So far I think I’ve stopped aging at 18. I’m almost shocked when I look in the mirror. :S

It’s so true. I feel like everyone else is getting older but I haven’t aged at all. I still feel too young to even have school age kids!

oh my gosh she looks a lot like kainoa! so cute. i think all kids go through that dog thing because my brothers and sisters all played “doggie” and led each other around on leashes, ate off the floor, etc. and now my son is doing it, which is annoying because it means i have to keep my floors clean.

and yes, you really do look like you haven’t aged at all.

It is such a strange phenomenon that we can stay the same age, but our kids just keep getting older and older. Then I look in the mirror and realize that it’s just not true.

you ARE timeless! :) In just a few more months, I’ll know what it’s like to have a 5 year old, too.

She’s just so dang cute. I’m glad I’m not the only one wondering where the hell the time goes. Good thing the mommies are timeless ;)

I keep thinking about my mom when she was my age…she was OLD!!! But, I am NOT old!!! My children are much older than I was when my mom was my age…maybe that’s the difference??? They are closer in age to me than I was to my mom.
We’re all just as young as we think we are…and that’s a good thing!

Absolutely! We are all timeless. Well, at least in our minds and memories. My body seems to be doing otherwise. Willful, it is – I never ever gave it permission to age!

They grow up way too stinkin’ fast! I’m trying to eat up my baby’s babyness before she’s a full blown toddler.

I think when they are younger, the time goes much faster. I have a 17 y/o daughter and she still seems the same as she was when she was 14…but my 9 year old seems to have grown much more in the same amount of time. Crazy, right?

This year is my 1st anniversary of my 29th birthday. I’m soooooo going to be 29 forever! :P

Doesn’t seem possible or them to grow so fast!
My oldest is just a couple months away from turning 4, and my baby is already almost 6 months!! :(
