I’m tired of these tiny people being able to dictate/affect how my day goes! And like Kristi says above, I get to work and these people just make it worse…dammit.
We had the same day! Child #1 refused to let me put her down. Child #2 refused to play outside and begged to go in. Child #3, in a rare moment that she wasn’t crying over nothing, decided to pick up poop and play with it. It was awesome.
Oh. My. Lord…it’s days like that you just want to push pause for a minute (or 90) and pull yourself together again. It’s like, “well so much for the things I actually had planned today!”
Just wait till puberty…. when hugs and sugar don’t always work. I try to stay neutral. Neutral when they are happy, mad, sad, glad… but who am I kidding. When I see or share smiles and laughter, I’m high as a kite.
Oh so true! I couldn’t tell you how many days I woke up in a good mood only to have it destroyed quite quickly by my oldest inability to realize school is a priority, not a choice (at least not right now). My daughter is fighting with me to wear a dress (that in 20 degree weather isn’t quite right) and my youngest lovely 2 year old with the inability to express himself without screaming decides he wants my help with his socks only to very swiftly kick me in the face for helping him, WTF?!
I think those are the days we just have to stop, put on our jammies, fix something yummy to eat, and all watch TV together. Tomorrow will be another day and you can hit reset.
Children’s moods determining the outcome of YOUR day? What is this you speak of? My 4 kids are angels! #1 wails when I leave the room #2 stomps off when I say no bey blades to school #3 has major attitude when told we are having quiet time in our own rooms #4 feels the need to throw a fit over the iPod.

It IS funny (and oh, so true) how their moods affect our day. We need to figure out how to fix that.

Thankfully this happened on Monday so things are much better now. I don’t think it’s too much to ask that they just be happy all the time.
