I posted to Facebook about my kids being off school and how I was looking forward to it. On the first day of Summer, Laina was all…
Well that was nice.
When does school start back up again?

Haha! Summer is a blessing and a curse all rolled into one.

Much the same here too except she also complains that school is starting earlier this year and her summer is so short! No more starting after Labor Day. Mid-August now. But that only means they get out around Memorial Day. Love the drawings, by the way.

I’m starting to wonder if my mom felt this way every summer. I am “chatty!”

Wait…are you spying on my house? Same exact thing going on here! So how many days was it before they drove you crazy?
Jennie B says
Yay school! Though I do love not having to pack lunches every day. (Not enough that I’m not counting down the weeks until fall).
Rachel says
I believe all of that, except the “I’m too hot” part, because I know where you live and it hasn’t been hot at all. And also, wine.

Clearly, you need to add a few more kids into the mix. We’ve been a non-stop party since school let out, and it’s been a blast. I may never have time to shave my legs again, and I think at least one kid is surviving on pretzels and goldfish, but so far, this has been the best summer on record. Come up with a plan, Mama. It doesn’t have to be all day long, or every single day, but SOMETHING. Then, when they say they’re bored, or fighting, you can point to the vacuum cleaner and tell them to get moving!

I can’t WAIT for my kids to be in school, though I hadn’t thought of the inevitable craziness that will occur once they’re home for the summer. I think I shall solve this problem by hiring a high school kid to come play with them.

Yeah, this tour bus is about to pull out of the station. No sleep until ESCUELA!
