30 Day Shred…Or Something

Post image for 30 Day Shred…Or Something

After all that complaining about the last ten pounds I refuse to work to burn off, I decided to work to burn it off!

So I started the 30 day shred with Jillian Michaels. I found the sessions on YouTube and apparently you just do the first session for 10 days, the second session for 10 days, and then the third session for ten days. They’re each like 30 minutes long and by the end of the 30 days, you’re supposed to be AMAZING.

So easy right?

The first 15 days were super hard and sweaty and painful, but totally rewarding! I felt stronger and leaner, and no maybe the number on the scale wasn’t changing yet, but still. I felt great!

And then I missed a few days because I went out of town.

And because I missed a few days I was all “well damn, now I’ve undone all that work and have no idea where I should start back up”.

So I spent another few days thinking about where I should start back up.

Continue on to day 16 or start over at day 1?

And that was a month ago.

I’m still thinking about it.

Do you think they sell will power somewhere? I think I need to get me some of that:

Excuses, excuses. Just pick one already and go with it. Since so much time has passed, I think you should go with video 1 but if you don’t want to do that, then charge ahead with video 2. Onward!

I did the Shred back in March and got great results. I agree that the first week is the hardest but admit I wasn’t running around in a bikini by day 30. I did feel much more toned and surprisingly strong. Thinking about starting it again when I get back from vacation. We should start a support group. HA!

If you find the place that sell willpower, first check to see if they also sell motivation and then let me know! Thanks.

My three year old daughter picked up my 30 day shred dvd a few days ago and proceeded to throw up all over it…
that’s pretty much how I feel about Jillian too….
but hey, go for it!

One year for my birthday I decided to do the 30 Day Shred so that I’d look great for my birthday. I find that if I have a specific goal in mind I’ll do it, but then after the 30 days was over, I did it like 2 more times? Then never again. However, my ass looked great after that 30 days – and my “horse riding stance” in Tae Kwon Do was more awesome than ever before.
However, I’ve given up sugar for the month of september, and finally with the kids in school I can start running again, and TODAY I RAN 2 MILES. For the first time in a year or so.
At this point, I’m just sick of being tired and worn out and I can’t afford to buy the next size up pants, so that is my motivation. No new pants!

I made it to day 12. Spent the last month and half deciding what to do. Have decided I need a proper 30 days, so will start again on October 1st. I think. :)

True story- I started that too. Eventually I was getting bored (and tired) and would sit on the couch and just watch it.

What’s up–I just quit the couch to 5k challenge mid-stream too….now that makes you feel good. Why can’t I think running is just the coolest like all those awesome moms?

Dude…Go back to it! Shredding helped me get into swimsuit shape post baby the last time around. I guess I should take me own advice this time around. Ha!

Dudette, do not go back to it, have a little rest, eat a doughnut, just one. Read a book, lounge, watch some quality tv with hubby tonight (after dinner). Have a glass of wine. Life is short, enjoy it. Those ten pounds will just keep coming back ANYWAY so don’t force the issue. Have fun.

First of all, congrats on even starting a program. The first step is the hardest… But maintaining can be quite a challenge, too. Secondly, get back on that horse Missy. You said you felt great so… Start at day 2 and maybe it won’t feel like you are starting all the way over ;) I am a health and fitness blogger and I post new Tabata (only 4 minutes but will kick your butt) K-Box workouts weekly and would love for you to try them. They are not only fun and a great workout but also SUCH a fantastic stress reliever. With 2 children under 8, there are many days that it is just what the Dr. ordered ;) Another place you can find some AWESOME workouts and information about healthy eating, fitness, etc…. Is to go to FitFluential.com. (I am an ambassador for them) If you start there, you will find access to over 800 fitness people online that offer workouts, etc…. We are also on Pinterest and Instagram. Check it out and let me know what you think :) Good Luck!

So, I did the 30 day shred for 30 days, but only 3 times a week… so like 12 times out of the 30… it totally didn’t work, I still felt nauseated after every work out and I gained a hatred for Jillian Michaels and how she yells encouragingly at us… I am NOT your buddy. Good for you getting 16 days into it! I say start on day 10.

You know, I worked out for a few months straight and I felt awesome. Then I hurt my knees at work and took a couple weeks off…and that was back in, um February. Let me know if you find power and get a power strip while you’re at it so you can share the juice!

Laughing…you literally described me to a T – the post and the video. Now I’m 7 mos pregnant so I have a great excuse but ugh…as soon as this one’s out, I know I’m going to have to at least go for a walk.
