Every week you’re invited to join me in Writer’s Workshop by responding to one of the provided writing prompts posted each Tuesday. The directions are simple:

    • Choose a writing prompt from the list provided that inspires you most.
    • Write.
    • Come back this Thursday and paste the URL from your post into the list of links that will be displayed…this way anyone can click on your post thumbnail and head over to your place to see what you wrote.

To view more detailed instructions on how this weekly meme works, check out the Writer’s Workshop FAQs.

Writing Prompts:

1.) Tell us about the moment you knew your spouse was “The One”.

2.) Write something that begins and ends with the words “When I was younger”. (inspired by writingfix.com)

3.) We’re too old to be getting in trouble…aren’t we? Write about a time you were scolded…as an adult.

4.) Write a poem from the perspective of your child’s favorite toy.

5.) Who do you have to thank? Following Jimmy Fallon’s famous thank you note writing style, write or vlog a list of 10 thank you cards you’d like to write this week.

Some Favorite Entries From Last Week:

“My three year old did not learn that act of kindness from his Mama.” –The Spit Up Chronicles

“a quiet place in a busy house just for me. That was my favorite thing about my blue room—it was mine.” –The Road Goes Ever On

“I am NOT one of those yelling moms.  And I have the evidence to prove it.” –The Spin Cycle

“I became a single mom, not once, but twice without a career.” –Woven By Words

“Walking into that classroom every day, though, was an escape.” –Essie’s Blessings

See you Thursday!

I think I might do the first one in about 6 months. lol I’m terrible at poems and no way I’m funny enough to try Fallon. So, it’s between 2 & 3 for me. =)
