4.) Choose an item you recently pinned on Pinterest and…TRY IT! Was it a success or failure?

I can’t tell you how much I LOVE trying pins I find on Pinterest. They look so easy and yummy and TOTALLY do able! Sure there have been some failures, particularly any recipe I’ve attempted to make with Spaghetti Squash, but there have also been some major successes!

When I saw a pin about how to turn a regular old t-shirt into a fashionable scarf…I just KNEW it was for me! And it’s your lucky day because I decided to give you the full effect of this scarf and thought you should probably see me make it myself:

(video here)

You be the judge…was this Pinterest DIY a success? Or a fail?

In the mean time, I’ve got a hot date to catch!

Now it’s your turn!

Mama's Losin' It

Choose a prompt, post it on your blog, and come back to add your name to the link list below. Be sure to sign up with the actual post URL and not just your basic blog URL (click on the title of your post for that URL). For good comment karma try to comment on the three blogs above your name!!

The Prompts:

1.) What comes to mind when you think of the word ‘plaid’.
2.) Share a moment when you felt overwhelmed.
3.) They’re smarter than they look! Write about a time your child was on to you.
4.) Choose an item you recently pinned on Pinterest and…TRY IT! Was it a success or failure?
5.) Tell us about the last thing that irritated  you.

LOL! I almost did this prompt, but all I ever make are recipes! You may have inspired me to GET CRAFTY this weekend!

And I’m lying… I made bouncy balls this summer when I watched Lawn Boy’s children one night… let’s just say I’m glad I made them in his kitchen and not mine!

LOL! You are HIP! Thanks pinterest for making us even more beautiful! I love the feathers. Those were definitely what MADE the scarf!

I think the giant green gems were my favorite. My Pinterest boards are full of crafts I will never make…sigh.

So cute! I definitely need to get on Pinterest more. So much social media, so little time…

You crack me up! The feathers and green gems totally made that thing. Awesome.

Hawt!

But I kinda liked it better before the feathers. Just my opinion.

I fell off my bed laughing…..thanks. You CRACK me up, love it. Scarf that doubles as a weapon……hit the guy over the head with the gemstones, tickle his nose and then run!!! Every girl should make one!

Oh my god, I tried to make this pin a couple months ago, and it was a horrible disaster. It just look like a giant torn t-shirt rope. I didn’t wear it outside because it looked like a craft from a preschool activity. This post is hilarious. I just kept giggling thinking “oh my god, am I watching my life right now”.

Seeing your awesome tutorial reminds me that I used to be such a scarf person and for some reason or other, I am not any more. Might be time to bring the scarf back – or perhaps make my own! (The green gems are my favourite, too!)

It was totally happening until you added the gems. THAT is where you jumped the shark. lol

You are too funny, Kat!

Oh man. I needed that laugh this morning.

And I disagree with Rhea. The more gems the better! I’m thinking you’ve got yourself holiday gifts with this tutorial. Scarves for everyone! They’ll be thrilled.

I was thinking it was a fail, until you added the feathers and gems!

Yeah, my husband didn’t really like it when I used one of HIS old t-shirts to make t-shirt yarn using a very similar “slice and pull” method. At least it was your t-shirt, right? :)

Can not say enough good things about your use of safety scissors. What they lack in sharpness, they more than make up in the unique cutting pattern evident on every strand of that fringe.

Hilarious! Loved the scarf. I think I’ll go find an old t-shirt and make one myself! Make sure to wear that on your date.

I’m such a Pinterest failure. I’m not even sure I’ve spelled it correctly. You are too funny. How about you make videos of all your pins and I can just watch that?

I SO needed this this morning! My favorite part is your apology for your nails and your little nod at the very end. Like you know this is all ridiculous. Well done, as usual. Happy DIY Day!!

Amazing! Who knew scarf-making was so easy, eh?

Oh, and totally unrelated, but something occurred to me while watching your video – you TOTALLY remind me of Lauren Graham of Gilmore Girls! Seriously.

I am home sick today so I am watching all your videos as I don’t have to fight the kids for the computer. Anyhoo-this video cracked me up! BUT, not as much as the Scooby Doo video. Ohmyword–I was laughing and snorting and the cat thinks I have lost my mind. Well, I have lost my mind, but I digress. That video was crazy funny! And you are too. :) :) xoxoxo
