Writing Prompts 01.01

New writing prompts for 2013!

Let’s do this!

Every week you’re invited to join me in Writer’s Workshop by responding to one of the provided writing prompts posted each Tuesday. The directions are simple:

    • Choose a writing prompt from the list provided that inspires you most.
    • Write.
    • Come back this Thursday and paste the URL from your post into the list of links that will be displayed…this way anyone can click on your post thumbnail and head over to your place to see what you wrote.

To view more detailed instructions on how this weekly meme works, check out the Writer’s Workshop FAQs. Receive writing prompts in your inbox each week! Subscribe to the writing prompt newsletter here.

Writing Prompts:

1.) Instead of a resolution, some people choose a theme word to live by for the year. Choose a word for 2013 and tell us why you chose it. ( I like how Natalia from Ma Nouvelle Mode had hers come full circle this year.)
2.) Share any blogging tips you picked up in 2012.
3.) Do you “favorite” tweets you love? Share your favorite tweets from 2012. (inspired by Big A Little a)
4.) Resolutions. Love’em? Hate’em? Tell us why. Make one?  Talk about your resolutions or goals for 2013.
5.) Share your top 10 favorite quotes from your kids in 2012. (inspired by The Momalog)

Some Favorite Entries From Last Week:

“The first steps, the first words, the first dances and first kisses. Those are the ones you can’t quite seem to bring back all the way when you want to.” -Parenting by Dummies

“Gathering eggs is like having Christmas all year long.” -{A} Musing Mother

“After we opened presents together, both girls told us, “We didn’t expect to get so many presents for Christmas!”
Now that was a gift that I didn’t expect!” -Lemon Drop Pie

“And here’s a confession for you: I wouldn’t bring anyone with me. Not even my husband. ” -Essie’s Blessings

” It’s become a tradition… passed from my mother, to my daughters, and granddaughters. It makes my heart happy!” -Birds of a Feather

See you Thursday!

I love it when you quote me. I finally feel important, like someone is listening, and not just nodding their heads while picking their noses. XO
