Last Summer I decided I would become a gardener, but I was too late to start from scratch. My Mom tried to encourage me by buying me a potted tomato plant that later snapped in half because I wasn’t aware that when tomato plants grow tall and heavy with tomatoes…you should probably stake it up with a little support.
This year when Spring finally hit I wanted to jump on the gardening ball early! I called my Mom and was all, “I’m going to garden again! When should I plant my tulip bulbs!?!” And my Mom was all, “You’re too late for tulips…”
But I wasn’t too late to grab my girls and pick out an array of vegetable seeds, pots, flowers (tulips)…you name it. This year I will be GROWING THINGS. And to help me along on this journey, the good people at The Home Depot Garden Club will become my support system.
I have indeed joined the world’s largest garden community and I will indeed be consulting them frequently for help keeping my projects “alive”. I won’t have to call my Mom to find out I’m too late to plant tulip bulbs anymore because the Garden Club provides monthly lawn & garden ideas for every region, monthly to-do lists, how-to videos, over $300 in email exclusive savings each year, and so much more.
Right now you can check out 8 Spring Garden Projects posted on the Garden Club page. I can tell you my kids really enjoyed the seed starter kit we started on our own and I’ve got my eyes on that window bird feeder next. My kids would be SO excited to see birds flying right up to the window for a little snack!
Stay tuned for some fun garden projects coming up!

I’ve successfully killed every plant I’ve ever tried to grow. I am looking forward to the help!!! So far artificial plants are the only ones I can’t kill!
Mama Kat says
I actually got artificial plants once and stuck them outside. I was THAT desperate for greenery.

I believe fall is the time to plant bulbs. Good luck with your gardening projects! I didn’t know Home Depot had a gardening club.

I really, really want to be a gardener and not kill every plant I own! Surely if I can successfully raise a kid (he’s still alive so far and I’ve been in charge of him for almost 13 years) then I can grow some flippin’ plants!
I’ll make sure to check out the gardening club.

I’m proud of you for your gardening.

I so want to grow things too. Glad you are doing this! I’ll be following along on your journey as I my best to not kill my plants this year.
