3.) Film yourself doing something (anything) with one of your kids.
Today as part of my raised garden bed series for The Home Depot, I put together a garden bed time lapse video of myself putting together my little garden with my five year old. At one point we both scream at a GIGANTIC worm…he promptly quit our project and I was left to face the elements on my own. Watch me build a garden in two minutes:

dude mom says
Please come make this at my house. I LOVED that video!
Kat says
I would love to come make this at your house. It was so easy! Everyone needs one!
Jen says
I’m not an gardening expert but I think that you need worms in a garden.
Kat says
But they’re so disgusting!!
Jennifer says
Jen is right. Worms are good for the garden. And fishing. But that would be a different vlog all together.
Miriam is WAY braver than I am.
Stacey says
I am impressed! I saw your before pictures on Instagram yesterday and wondered how it turned out. Look at you being a gardener!
Kat says
Thank you! I’m so SORE today…which tells you something about my typical sedentary lifestyle. ;)
DGMommy (Tamara) says
I loved this vlog! You are SO fun and I LOVE gardening!
Jenny says
I did not mean to link twice but the first one linked back to last weeks somehow? Okay now I am going to watch your video ;)
Jenny says
It turned out really good. I laughed when you found the worm. That would be me cause I always just see something moving and think snake.
My husband would probably like one of these. Maybe this year our big lab or boston terrier won’t stomp all over his garden..I doubt it but we can be hopeful :)
Darcy says
The nude garden sounds intriguing. The worm part was hilarious!
Gigi says
The worms skeeve me out but I can deal with them…the frogs on the other hand? Well, if I see on of them I’m outta there!
Sandee Harned says
I WANT! I just need to keep the deer, rabbits, beavers (seriously) and chipmunks outta my shit. Does the Depot sell and electric fence for those babies?
Miriam Gomberg says
We tried a raised bed once and never picked any of the veggies so they all went to seed. I think there is still lettuce floating around somewhere in the back yard.
BTW thanks Kat for the shout out. My son was totally humiliated which was good enough for me. M
Marta says
I enjoyed but gave up on gardening. When we (finally) move I plan to give it the good old college try at the new place and will definitely keep this in mind. After all if you can do it I can too… right!?
