I believe I started blushing in seventh grade during a presentation I put together about Barbies and I haven’t stopped blushing since. Here’s a short list of things that make me blush…if I’d only known how that presentation on Barbies was going to snowball out of control:
When someone says “Hey, can I talk to you for a minute?”
When my boss says hello to me.
When I’m talking to a friend at a baby shower and suddenly realize all the other conversations have died down and I now have the attention of the entire room.
When I over tip my hair dresser.
When I under tip my hair dresser.
HOW MUCH DO YOU TIP YOUR HAIR DRESSER?
Remembering an embarrassing story.
Thinking about a time I once blushed.
Watching someone I love embarrass themselves.
Public speaking.
Replying ALL to an email intended for one.
I could go on…but I’m beginning to think I need to stop drawing pictures about what makes me blush and perhaps just pony up for a therapist.

Blushing at the remembrance of a blush. Yes.
Jessica says
Yes to all of those things! They make me want to blush… and then bang my head into the wall. Don’t worry, I’m seeing a therapist. :)

I don’t know if I blush. I’ll have to think about this. I will turn extremely red if I get mad or upset about something, but it is normally my chest and neck.
Mirjam says
I don’t blush. I have my skin color to thank for that.
Thank Gawd, because I embarrass myself all the time, I would never stop blushing. Never.

Reply all can be an embarrassing button. I still blush about a time I did that from two years ago.

The blushing when thinking about an embarrassing story is so me.
Jenny says
I do most of the above especially when someone I love embarasses themselves & public speaking or having to get up in front of a audience in general.
And seriously how much are you supposed to tip your hairdresser? I never know and mine owns the shop so doesn’t all the money go to her from my haircut??? So confusing.
Amy says
Yes, to all of the above! I’m a big time blusher. It all began when I was seven at a church potluck dinner. They made me stand on a chair while they sang happy birthday to me. It ruined my life…pretty much.
Andrea says
I’ve heard 20% for a hairstylist unless he/she owns the salon and then you don’t tip but you do get to feel cheap for not tipping. Same with massage therapists and nail techs. I have a friend who cuts my hair from her home and I always give her a little more because she charges very little. Sigh. Life is so confusing sometimes.

This was great to read. It still amazes me that at 36 years old and having undergone a gall bladder removal, 2 c-sections, a miscarriage, and a wreck that cracked bones in my neck ripping my shirt off in the process, just so when I tried to come to a bit, I felt the odd edginess of a lot of people around and me topless…………….. all this and the list goes forever, I can still blush. lol. Though not as bad as a I used to. I am dark complected but when I blush, my ears turn a bright red, it is horrible. I have found myself blushing over a comment or something due to social media where the other person does not know me at all. The blushing when someone you love is being embarrassed…… hmmmm. I have to give that thought. My oldest daughter was embarrassed in a school talent show, so I was more wanting her to feel good. Now, had I been singing with her, I may have ran off stage. lol.

While every person is different and not all will experience the same results, this has
been proven as very effective for a large number of people seeking serious weight loss options.
You better know a lot more about green coffee bean extract.
The fact is that if you are experiencing any side-effects
from a cheap green coffee bean brand, it is likely contaminated with ephedrine.

I just found this, and read this post and OMG YES TO ALL OF THIS – I HATE IT. I have often considered seeing a psych about it and then wondering if it will even help and be a waste of money. I am constantly blushing for no damn good reason, I swear all my bosses Ive ever had, think I must have had a huge crush on them because I turn red just talking to them and I just dont.even.understand. It causes severe confidence issues and worrying about blushing before blushing just makes it worse. Plus, it’s not an “awe that’s cute, she’s blushing” it’s an “omg she is so red…is she going to pass out?” blushing.

Haha! Loved this. I blush at everything, too. In fact, I’m blushing right now. Okay, no, I’m not, but you know what I mean.
I talked about you and your writing prompts in my blog post today. :)
