I forgot to share last week’s Crafty Mom Challenge which was DIY sidewalk paint and awesome. Super easy. You should definitely check it out and let your kids paint your driveway. It washes right off and it’s a fun change of pace from sidewalk chalk! Even though one commenter said, “No, it is so easy to go to the dollar store and buy a box of sidewalk chalk.” I think I’m not a fan of hers.
This week I went to Pinterest looking for back to school crafts and I found a back to school gift for teachers that is super cute! It’s basically a vase with colored pencils hot glued around it, but pop over to The Stir and watch how it all came together and determine whether or not it’s actually a functional craft or if it’s a Pinterest fail!
I particularly enjoy this lovely comment I received over there from a teacher: “Teachers do not want things like this. Please do not give stuff like this to us. We want gift cards. Sounds crass, but true. Or, instead of wasting these pencils, how about buying a set and donating them to the classroom?”
Hey lady, take a page out of this daycare lady’s rule book…YOU GET WHAT YOU GET AND YOU DON’T THROW A FIT!
“We want gift cards.”
Good luck with that.
