For this week’s episode at The Stir I faced the daunting task of turning leftover Halloween candy into something spectacular. I decided to try the Halloween candy bark I had seen floating around Pinterest and it was actually pretty easy. I’ve attempted to melt chocolate over the stove top before and had every reason to believe this candy bark task was going to be a bit of a catastrophe, but it was GOOD! In fact, I took it to a Halloween party and not only did people gobble it up but they just HAD to know where it came from!
There’s little that brings me more joy in life than bringing a HIT to a potluck.
As far as making the bark out of my kids candy? I’m pretty sure they’d kill me. I also think it’s a little strange to think that melting all of your candy together is a great way to deal with the leftovers when eating them individually is so much easier. I mean, either way you’re still eating the candy! Maybe next year I can find a pin that build a doll house out of Snickers and Sweet Tarts or something crafty like that.
