You Will Always Be Right

I thought I was going to have to wait until my kids had babies to get that validation every mother waits for.

You know the phone call, “Mom, you are amazing. I’m so sorry for everything I put you through. I can’t believe how you have cared for and fussed over me my entire life. You were right, you’ve always been right, you will always be right…and I love you.”

I was wrong though.

It came much sooner than I expected and all because my daughter is now a proud owner of a goldfish.

I’m still waiting for the “You are always right” part, but I’ll give it another week for her goldfish to teach her that lesson too.

HA! My kids got a pet and so didn’t learn that lesson!

That is a big lesson to learn. One step at a time… hopefully she will learn to clean out the tank next.
