This is about that time when we’ve all forgotten how cold and long winter was and we start complaining about scorching temperatures. I will lead the way! Because damn…it’s hot. Here are my top 10 ways to cool off!:

Going for a swim or having a cold bath are certainly the way I would cool off on a hot day.. it’s been super hot over here lately too.

I’ve been spoiled with an air conditioner. I crank that thing up every chance I get!

Please enjoy a giggle at my post, I am an Aussie freezing her tushie during a cold Winter. Cannot imagine a hot day and a pool right now. Please enjoy for me.

Kat July 10, 2014 at 10:54 am

I can’t imagine winter in Australia…does that mean it’s raining a lot? Do you get frost and snow? I’m thinking a trip is in order for me to fully comprehend this! ;)

For some reason it added my link 3 times…Also I love taking a cold bath when I get home from work.

Now just add a cute little hedgehog to your bathtub and you’ll be all set!

Betsy July 10, 2014 at 6:04 am

This one sure made me laugh out loud! Love your ideas.

Kat July 10, 2014 at 10:59 am

I expect to see you try each one this summer!

May July 10, 2014 at 8:13 am

Excuse me, ma’am. It appears there is a hedgehog in your bathtub.

The hedgehog is hysterical – I actually stared at it for like three minutes asking myself, “is that a HEDGEHOG?”

Can’t complain, the weather in Cleveland hasn’t been too hot (until I wrote that and now it will be scorching).

Kat July 10, 2014 at 11:12 am

Totally jinxed yourself. I love it when the weather is beautiful and sunny, but with a nice cool breeze. Those are perfect days!

Abby July 10, 2014 at 10:18 am

Great tips! I want to do them all!!

Kat July 10, 2014 at 11:13 am

I’m happy to set up a pool party so that we can have a go at the difficult basketball shot!…now I just need a pool….and four more people.

Funny. The CAT is my favorite. Looks like fun

Janice Trinh July 10, 2014 at 4:35 pm

Yay! I made it to the link-up! And seriously, I just wrote my post without looking at your prompts and still…..it worked! I think this is the part where we say, “Great minds think alike!” (Or something like that.)

Thanks for the GIFs. I needed a few laughs. ;-)

A great list, but that puppy in the first shot is the best. I think it’s his squinty eyes that makes it great. It’s like he’s concentrating so hard!

Allie July 11, 2014 at 3:13 pm

Great suggestions! I’ve been over doing it with the ice cream:).

I can’t stand the heat and tend to move from one air conditioned spot to another when the heat and humidity hit here. I never complain about the cold so I figure that I’ve got full complaining rights in the heat.

The hedgehog is adorable! :)

AimeeWrites July 12, 2014 at 7:08 pm

I want my own little hedgehog. I would carry him in the cooler portion of my Tommy Bahama beach chair, and he would back float with me in the lake. We would be divine together!

Donetta July 13, 2014 at 1:49 am

Somehow I ended up linked up twice. I love summer. I’m cold by nature so I never complain about being too hot. Also, a river runs through my small town, so my girls and I tend to stay there all summer. The lake is about 35 minutes away, and it’s always fun to go to it, tan in the sand, pretend I’m at the beach, and the water feels perfect. I loved the sprinkler photo. :)
