1. A moment you realized you were a grown up.
I knew I was a grown up when I learned to drive and I didn’t have nobody nowhere nohow telling me what to do.
I moved out and was in charge of my own life for a change!
I got to do my own grocery shopping!
I got to cook my own food!
I went clubbing!
Finally I was the boss.
So I did what any self made college grad would do.
I got married and became a mom!
I learned to lead by setting a great example.
I got to be in charge of other people.
My clubbing days came in handy!
And now I crave naps.
I don’t function without coffee.
My body is starting to hurt.
It takes me a little longer to adapt to the latest trends.
Yeah. I’m an adult. No going back now.

You are so good at making what I thought would be a boring subject funny and interesting. I love your great sense of humor and that you share it with the world through both your blog and your You Tube Channel. For me, I first realized I was an adult and truly on my own when my dad died after my mom had already died 7 years earlier. That was my moment I knew I was an adult.

Don’t grow up, it’s a trap! Instead of your parents telling you what to do, now you have your spouse, kids, boss, and society – thank God you’re of drinking age! :)

That day always comes… the day we have admit we have finally grown up and there’s no going back! I needed my mother my entire life, and when she passed away a few years ago, it hurt like crazy. Maybe that’s when I knew I really had to grow up. I think my kids feel the same way about me. Mother’s keep us kids as long as we have them.

I realized I was an adult when I had my 7 year old cousins over to my first apartment and they said ‘so who tells you when it’s time to go to bed?’ And ‘you can eat ice cream for BREAKFAST!’

‘…indeed!! This made me nod and laugh. Funny and real too… I don’t know if being an adult is a blessing or a curse!
have a good day!

Just the other day my grocery bag broke as I walked to the car
And as I watched my melons roll away (and then get backed over by a Mustang) I thought what I wouldn’t give to be a kid again chasing Jess on the playground trying to kiss him….
Then I saw my daughter doubled over with laughter as the melon guts splattered and she declared I looked like the Statute of Liberty of Fruit (because apparently I had raised the hand not holding the the grocery bag into the air possibly shaking my fist at God)
Then I knew, splattered fruit and all, I am most certainly supposed to be an adult….
