You know what I love almost as much as a winning football team? Winning football food. Maybe sometimes the football food is the best part of the football game, particularly if your team is losing. Yeah, I said it.
I mentioned before that I became a big fan of The Seahawks when we started winning games a few years ago. The Hawks have the “12th man” title that is reserved for all their fans (me!). The nickname refers to this additional, separate force that completes the team. Football food is my own personal 12th man. The chicken wings, the buffalo dip, the stuffed mushrooms, the nachos, the chili, the tacos…they are the force that completes my life on game days.
Recently I’ve been taking my homegate party to the next level with Old El Paso™ Stand N’ Stuff soft flour tortillas and their mini soft tortilla taco boats. You can grab these taco boats at Walmart (I’m really enjoying the kit that includes both the Stand N’ Stuff AND the soft taco boats) and they even come in Nacho and Ranch flavors. I die.
To make them I prep all my meat, cheese, veggies, beans and salsa and even my kids can take turns filling their taco boats with their choice of deliciousness. Who wouldn’t want a Taco Bar at a homegate party? To demonstrate, I grabbed two of my favorite taco makers and had them fill their taco boats. I even taste tested one they made just for me:

My football team might be done for the season, but add a Budweiser to my Old El Paso™ taco boat and you can see my personal 12th Man is standing strong. We might not all agree on who we think should win the next big game, but I think we can all live happily ever after with our favorite football food. Be sure to check Walmart for these fun taco additions, you’ll find some great recipe ideas as well!
