1. Share your 2016 New Year’s Resolution.
Last year I was very…motivated. I don’t usually do New Year resolutions because I don’t like to disappoint myself by not completing them. And I know I won’t complete them unless they’re things like “bathe sometimes” or “sleep more”. Looking back on last year’s New Year resolution post, however, it appears I said I planned to:
- Drink more water
- Eat salad every night
- Cook more
- Clean more
- Upload YouTube videos 4 days a week
- Lose 10 pounds
- Be nicer to my husband
I FEEL DISAPPOINTED.
Okay, not really. I think last year’s resolutions are a good list to work on for the rest of my life, with the exception of the videos I’m uploading because that’s just a crazy amount of content creation for something I don’t get paid enough for. Did you know some YouTuber’s make over $5,000 a month on video uploads alone? How about THAT for a resolution? I’ll make 4 videos a week if we can make that happen. And I’ll give each of you a dollar.
Since 2017 Kat is going to come back to see what 2016 Kat came up with for resolutions, I’ll add to the list:
- Walk your damn dogs.
That should do it!
What’s your New Year Resolution!?!
The Prompts:
1. Share your 2016 New Year’s Resolution.
2. Did you pick a Word Of The Year for 2015? Share!
3. If the way you spent your New Year’s Eve is any indication of how the rest of the year will go, how would you say your future is looking right about now?
4. Share your top 12 Instagram photos from 2015.
5. Write a blog post inspired by the word: Changed
May says
Wow, you were ambitious. Did you write that list on one of the days you were trying a new cocktail recipe?
Lori says
Funny!

$5000 a month?? Wow. Great resolutions to work on over a lifetime. I should be nicer to my husband too. Like not talk smack about him on my blog.
Astrid says
Wow, I want to make $5,000 a month someday, or even half of that, but i’ll most likely be stuck on disability for the rest of y life. Your resolution for this year is funny.
Btw, I’m confused. You shared different prompts when you announced the linky than you share now. For example, the prompt base don a word is “bitter” now when it was “changed” on Tuesday. I’m sorry if I missed something.
Mama Kat says
Oh thank you for telling me! I must have accidentally copy/pasted the prompts from last week into this week’s link up again. You were right, I fixed it!
Adrienne says
Yeah, I’m more of an “intention” setter than a goal setter. No idea why that difference helps me, but it does. I think because it allows me to start, stop and revisit…who knows! I’m gonna walk my “grand-puppy” more this year…I enjoy being outside with him, and should just go get him some times and take him on walks with me!
Abby says
Nice motivated list!
I made a resolution or two last year, but darn if I can remember any of them.
Walk your damn dogs, and I look forward to my monthly dollar.
Morgan says
Resolutions are so hard!
I can never keep mine.
I do have a lot of things I want to accomplish this year.
I know you can do yours and I will try my hardest to do mine. Deadlines!
Elaine A. says
Girl, you’ve totally got this! ;)
Happy New Year!
Julie S says
Those were great resolutions though. Sometimes you gotta make a list of everything and cross off what you can and let the others roll over to the following year :)
carol says
Good one! Keep it simple.

I like that your list is something you can continue to work on. I think the addition is doable.
