3. Write a list of 8 things you are thankful for.
Due to my deep sense of insecurity and fear now that Trump has been elected president I think it’s important to focus on wonderful things. Things I’m thankful for! Like good friends and coffee and laughing babies. Let’s make a list!
8 Things I’m Thankful For
1. Good Friends.
It’s always nice to remind yourself that there are normal, good humored, respectful and smart humans in the world who want the best for you. I have made some good friend choices in my life and I’m glad to have good people to drink wine with.
2. Coffee.
Sometimes that morning date is the only thing worth getting up for in the morning.
3. Laughing Babies.
Enough said.
4. Rainy Days.
I’m never productive enough to satisfy sunshine and it makes me feel guilty. Rainy days on the other hand, make me feel like catching up on the Real Housewives Reunion while nursing a head cold is the best possible way to spend my time.
5. Chipotle.
Bless it.
6. Makeup.
I wear makeup nearly everyday. Sometimes just a little, other times a smidge more…but when I’m on day three of no makeup AND feeling ill…I mistake my own self for my brother.
7. Thanksgiving.
My Facebook feed is hysterical and politically charged right now, but it’s like a trainwreck and I can’t stop looking. I get the disappointment (I’m disappointed too) but the call to protest and fight and call each other names…I don’t get that part. I am looking forward to a four day weekend and a lovely Thanksgiving dinner with my beautiful family. Don’t get me wrong, they can be hysterical and politically charged too, but at least I can acceptably drink all day on Thanksgiving.
8. Home.
Even though we live in the great big United States of America inside the great big planet Earth, I’m thankful that sometimes my world is just a few kids and a mom and a dad revolving around the kitchen. The normal day to day tasks and sounds of just being home can be a nice distraction..
What are you thankful for?

That’s a great list! I can get on board with all of these things, except for Chipotle; I’ve never eaten there. And by now I’ve heard too many diarrhea stories, so.

home and rainy days…both sound comfy-cozy-needed right about now ;-)

Great list! I’ve started to mistake my mirror image for my brother, hmmm….
And I feel the same about my facebook feed. Need to just walk away for a while.

I saw the laughing baby video. She’s adorable.

Great list. No chipotle for me either, and I don’t do makeup but substitute a good book and some mint chocolate chip ice cream and we’re good to go. Thanks for hosting and sharing!

This is a good and comprehensive list. As I did mine, I realized I might go on and on.

I need baby laughter on a constant loop for about a week! There is little it can’t cure.
