I like to set my kids up with recipes and projects when I can and just let them work their magic. If you can ignore the mess and the fact that you will spend more time cleaning up afterward than you spent setting it up to begin with, then you’ll find that middle part where they create is quite enjoyable.
Even more enjoyable is filming the entire experience and editing all of your favorite moments together in one video. That’s what I do for my “Kids in the Kitchen” series on YouTube and I guarantee these kids will bring a smile to your face too.
Today, I’m sharing Kainoa and Tarin’s Cake In A Mug recipe. They’ve known each other since they were babies (Tarin has been coming to my home daycare for years) and their lack of coordination, bickering, and giggling turn every kitchen disaster into pure entertainment:

So now you know how to make cake in a mug, but that children would actually prefer you to make an entire cake. Not just in a mug. shocking. I wonder what else I can have them make in a mug…
