7. Write about something funny a sibling or friend said to you.
Our fish tends to swim to the top of his tank and sort of make bubbles in the water. When I pointed it out to Maile she was all, “that’s how it filters it’s water.” It’s kind of nice to live with a walking, talking Discovery Channel.
When Marci came over to film with me a few days later she said, “OMG You need to clean that fish tank Kat! Your fish is GASPING for air!”
Gasping for air.
And now I can’t look at that fish tank without laughing to myself.
It really does need to be cleaned out though. Here are some more fun nuggets I’ve been entertained by:
These kids keep me on my toes…

Those are hilarious! Especially the water one….love the water one so much! Also, true story on the gaming. Run around and don’t die. Not really good at that all the time on video games. One day I was playing GTA with my oldest and I was running around the outside of a nudist colony and a mountain lion ate me. Yes, on GTA a mountain lion killed me. That’s the last time I’ve played that game and it was over a year ago.

All right, your kids are the funniest. I love the one about the sweats. JUST LEAVE ME ALONE I CAN BE PRETTY AND COMFORTABLE
Ahem. After one unfortunate incident my kids also ask about the alcohol content in glasses of water sitting around.
Mama Kat says
Oh my gosh, the sweats one still makes me laugh because she was so monotone about it AND she was right. My reaction was exactly yours…just leave me alone! Lol

These are hilarious, especially “Mom, can I have a drink of this water, or is there alcohol in it?”
Mama Kat says
They make me laugh everyday…and she was right to ask about the alcohol in the water! Coming from the same child who dumped a can of beer over her head when she was barely two years old. lol

Kids really say the darnest things. It is interesting how they come up with different perceptions from us.
Gigi says
Those are too funny. My favorites? “Run around and try not to die.” and the alcohol.
Mama Kat says
Just run around and try not to die…basically exactly how we all live life right?
Emily says
Our kids never fail to keep us laughing! My favorite was the one with alcohol and water!
Mama Kat says
I was like, “wow, so it’s come to this. None of my beverages are safe for them…” ;)

Since I know you enjoyed The Bachelor and The Bachelorette TV shows so much, I thought of you when reading THE SELECTION series by Kiera Cass. I loved this really fun, entertaining series and think you would too!
Mama Kat says
I’ve heard good things about that series! My daughter read it and love it too! I just started The Mortal Instruments Series!
Jennifer Gove says
Those are all super funny. Questioning the water lol.
Mama Kat says
Hahaha! She had to learn the hard way…
Adrienne says
Oh man! I did a lot of good things as far as childhood memory keeping – but writing down the amazing things they said wasn’t one of them! LOVE this!
Cheryl says
I cannot tell you how much I needed this laugh tonight. Thank you.
Abby says
These are great!
And, it’s wonderful you have your kids trained to check first for alcohol in your beverages…
