4. List your five most recent favorite things.
My favorite things typically include coffee, pizza, reality tv and some form of chocolate, but I thought I’d step outside of that box and share 5 other favorite things I’ve been enjoying lately!:
1. Winter
If you follow me on Instagram you know we brought in our newest foster Greyhound, Winter. She is basically as close to the perfect dog as a human could find and I’ll do an entire introduction video with her, but in the mean time I spend a lot of my time reminding myself that I cannot adopt her. She is amazing though and I need to find her the best home ever as soon as possible to avoid getting too attached to her.
2. SnapChat
I’m late to the game on this app, but I love playing with all the silly filters and it keeps my kids occupied at appointments.
3. Strangers in Help Forums
My internet browsers keep freezing and crashing. It’s getting pretty ridiculous. I have no idea what is causing this and I have cleared caches and cookies, restarted, removed extensions and plugins, restarted again, ran virus protection programs…nothing works. I finally found a forum (using my phone) that was all “open your Command Prompts, insert this random bit of code and restart your computer”…I had nothing to lose at that point, so I did it and it worked. For awhile. I just keep doing it now every time the damn thing crashes. Maybe it’s not a long terms solution, but in the short term, I sure appreciate that those people took the time to share their feedback!
4. My Chiropractor
My back slowly cripples itself all year long. It spasms when I bend to pick something up off the ground…or even if I lean forward to grab something like shampoo from the side of the bathtub. I don’t take the time to keep myself healthy until I can barely move. So I went to the chiropractor and he fixed me. He told me to come back 2-3 times this week, but who has time for that?
5. Meal Delivery Services
There are a million meal delivery services that send 2-3 meals plans to your house each week complete with all the fresh ingredients. I tried one (first order was $30 off) and loved it! I then realized that all the others also offer $30 off for the first order so I think I’m going to spend the rest of the year “first ordering” on every meal delivery service I can find.
What have you been loving lately!?

I’m three minutes from the grocery store. A meal delivery plan would have to include coming into my home and cooking the meal for me to make it convenient enough for me. Also, I’m cheap – $30 OFF? How much do those things cost?
Mama Kat says
Having someone cook the meal FOR me and clean up afterward would be ideal. Regular price is close to 60 bucks for a total of three recipes that feed 2 people. Honestly, if I were to go grab salmon and a tray of veggies/rice, I probably do spent 10-20 bucks on some of the meals I make.

Which meal delivery services do you use? I have a stack of coupons for multiple ones and I can’t figure out which one to try.
My chiropractor is amazing. In addition to cracking me into place, she also does the myofascial release so I can move my shoulder when it gets bad.

I tried BlueApron and HelloFresh and I’m working my way down the list to keep using all the discounts. I just have to remember to stop the service on each of them or I’m going to end up with like 5 boxes of meals from 5 different companies and 5 large automatic charges. lol That said, I really like them!! I’ve cooked things that are outside of my wheelhouse and it’s nice to take meal planning off my grocery list every once in awhile!
Morgan says
I ordered the Hello Fresh last night because the meals for next week looked amazing! I would be happy to get any of them.

On second thought… I guess meal delivery service is out!!! That was funny. Can’t wait to read more about Winter. And by the way, I love that name! I’ve never head a dog named that before. Sounds like he has definitely brought some sunshine into your winter!
Mama Kat says
I love her name too! Especially for a black dog. :) She is so sweet. Just gentle as can be!

I never call Product Support anymore. If anything goes haywire, I turn to the web. Amazing the stuff you find out there. And you can learn to do almost anything, free. People could make a fortune selling their knowledge, but they just share it because they want to get the knowledge out there. I think lots of them do it just to get their names out there; these days, no one writes a resume, it’s all online.

“First ordering”. I love your mind!

So sorry about your back troubles! I can totally relate. Glad the chiro is helping. Spring for a massage once a month, if you can. Those do wonders too! And forums? Yes! If you search hard enough, you can find the answer to just about anything in those things. I feel a little guilty that I never contribute with my own solution to something, but I sure do find the help I need, most of the time.

Winter does look like an IncrediDog. And I’m not even a dog person.

These are fantastic!
I’ve seriously thought about adopting a retired greyhound when we’ve got room for another dog. I think they’re beautiful!
Your meal plan plan is brilliant :)

I’m one of those – who did the 2-3 times/wk with the chiropractor. Then it was once a week. Now it’s once every two weeks. Probably for life. But he’s the real deal. And helps with nutrition and all sorts of wellness education. I’ve definitely bought into the thought that if our spine is healthy, the rest of us has a much greater chance of being healthy too! You’re so brave to foster dogs…the whole attachment thing – I’d be a mess.

Beautiful dog. Hope you do have a good home. I think the dog racing syndicate ought to be outlawed–particularly in Floirda.
Great idea on the “try every first order” on those mail-you-a-meal things.

Snap Chat. My Granddaughter gets the biggest kick out of those filters. To much fun.
Mama Kat says
Those filters are a really fun distraction!!
