1. List 7 things you’d rather be doing this summer.
I have to admit, our summer this year has started off on the right foot. We left for Hawaii before the kids even finished school. So coming up with a list of things I’d RATHER be doing seems a little spoiled. We’re home now and between work and the kids, my niece, the pets (including a new foster Greyhound I’ll introduce soon!), and keeping my house from imploding…I’m exhausted. So what would I rather be doing?
1. Sitting back at a pool in Hawaii without a list of things to do in my brain.
2. Reading more.
3. Sending my kids to overnight camp.
4. Napping.
5. Allowing someone else to clean my house free of charge.
6. Earning thousands of dollars a week for doing nothing. I would say millions, but I’m trying not to be spoiled.
7. Losing weight doing nothing.
Looking at my list I see a common theme of wanting to do nothing throughout. I don’t think that’s too much to ask!

That is an excellent list. I, also, would like to be a millionaire without doing anything. DREAM JOB! I am getting ready to ship one of the children to overnight camp.

I wonder how many brain cells we would lose if we just sat around being rich all day…

Hawaii oh YES! Please!!! But I want my toes in the sad. My hubby works for a temporary job agency. We’ve found that there are many folks in our metro area that want to make lots of money for doing nothing–I have no idea how some of these people survive. Then there are those of us that realize the responsibilities we have and even though we’d rather be doing nothing; we do what we need to do and enjoy Hawaiian vacations when the opportunity comes along. Loved your list of rather be doings. That Mr. Clean commercial cracks me up every. single. time. Have a wonderful day!

Oh man, your husband must see all KINDS of humans! The reality is that while I think doing nothing sounds awesome…I never do nothing. lol! I’m incapable…always thinking of the next project!

I’m with ya! As much as sitting around doing nothing sounds fantastic, I don’t. Wives and Momma’s always have something to do–and when they get older, it doesn’t get easier. There’s only more places to go and more people to see, haha.
My husband definitely has more interesting stories than when he worked in radio, lol….he says our income now depends on the lowest segment of society showing up for work every day. (he gets base plus commission). He’s had drunks at 7 am. Grandma’s that reincarnate and die multiple times, “I got no experience, but I can do the job and I’m worth waaaaaaaaaaay more than $10.00 an hour”. And then, my personal favorite; the dude that said he’d take a job assignment, called back about 10 minutes later to say he couldn’t do it because he found his kid in his bed when he went to get ready…forgot it was his day to watch her. YIKES! And there’s so much more.

I am with you! If you find someone willing to clean my house free of charge so I can read a book by the pool and then take a nap, let me know. :)

I don’t know why people are not jumping at the opportunity to take care of us!

No vacations for me this summer although maybe some day trips. Mr. Clean is hot!

I almost prefer the day trips. They don’t eat up too much of the summer, they don’t break the bank, and you still get to explore a bit!
