1. Write a blog post inspired by the word: island
We’ve been back home from Hawaii for 2 weeks now and I still can’t stop talking about that trip. It’s a shame traveling is so expensive because I would love to visit once or twice a year. What is it like to have money that allows you to do that?
When we went to the visitor center at Haleakala Crater, the ranger in charge said Oprah was there that morning. You actually have to reserve tickets far in advance in order to secure a spot there. Watching the sunrise on that volcano is a big tourist attraction, but I bet Oprah didn’t need reservations. Oprah can pop over to a volcano for sunrise and still make it back to home in time to feed her Cocker Spaniels.
But I bet Oprah doesn’t feed her own Cocker Spaniels. I bet Cesar Millan feeds her Cocker Spaniels so that Oprah can catch up with Gayle over coffee.
I bet Oprah doesn’t even drink coffee. I bet she drinks tea with wildflowers floating inside.
I bet the wildflowers are grown from her own tropical garden at one of her many island vacation homes.
I bet they’re not even vacation homes. I bet she lives in each home for a week at a time and just alternates between all fifty of them. One in each state.
But then I think about how much Oprah had to do to become rich enough to bop in and out of volcanoes on islands. TV correspondent, co-anchor on the news, tv talk show host, actress, magazine creator. Man I don’t want to do any one of those things, let alone all of them.
I don’t want to be Oprah rich. She’s earned it. You go get yourself that wildflower tea girl and visit all the volcanoes.
I’ll settle for Paris Hilton rich instead.
Give me that trust fund baby money any day, I’ll take good care of it!

Love the family pic!
And lucky Oprah. Like you said, just popping over to the island to watch a sunrise. NBD.

And I bet she didn’t have to make any of the reservations or price it out or find a rental car that could fit everyone. She just said, “I want to check out that sunrise” and her people made it happen. I need her entourage in my life.

Ha! “Trust fund baby money”. Yes, but you would probably be an obnoxious person in that case.
Beautiful photos!

That’s true…we really haven’t seen a trust fund baby grow up to be anything other than entitled and spoiled. I would be a first!
