I try not to compare myself to other moms, but sometimes I wonder why I don’t care more about things that maybe I should care about.
Other Moms encourage their kids give back to the community, they do chores, they say all their pleases and thank yous.
My kid slams the door when I refuse to pay him $10 to clean an already clean living room so that he can buy gems for his game.
Other Moms would crack down on that behavior and I just shrug or worse…come up with a chore for him to do for $10 just to stop the begging.
I used to think Other Moms were “Type A” and tightly wound, but now I wonder if that’s just something I say to myself because I’m lazy.
I shared my insight with my husband and he was all, “you care about stuff…2 of our 3 say please and thank you!”
I passed all of my classes at about that same percentage and turned out terrific…
…although I got those grades because I was lazy.

YASSSSSSS – I love this…as I was scouring instagram and wondering “why am I like this?”
I have to keep my eyes in my own barn sometimes. My kid will turn out just fine. Yours will too Kat. Seriously. Sometimes social media makes us worry more. We are doing just fine.

Somewhere, there’s another mom wishing she were more like you. Don’t sweat it. The kids will be just fine.

Some things I think about too much.
Other things not enough. I figure it will all balance out in the end, right?

2 outta 3! Made me laugh. Do they consistently stay the same two? Or maybe they shift. Then you could say all three are capable! Boom, 100% right there!
