The holidays are here and I need to get my gift giving in gear! I’m excited to work with JCPenney on this sponsored post because if anyone can set me on the right track it’s JCPenney! They really do have something for everyone and this time of year you will find a fun assortment of unique gift ideas throughout the store.
I have accepted the #JCPchallenge to BEAT my holiday budget by shopping at JCPenney and see if I actually end up spending less than my standard amount on gift purchases. Since we have a really big extended family, our tradition is to draw names and purchase gifts for each name we draw. I also buy for my mom and step-dad so I can expect to purchase about 7 gifts for our holiday party. My budget for those gifts is in the area of $200 (usually more).
As part of the #JCPchallenge I set out to purchase all seven gifts at JCPenney with the help of Maile and sure enough they really do have a surprising assortment of gifts. We found something for every age range and interest! We started off in the children’s department because I knew picking something out for my niece Harper would be the easiest part of our adventure. In addition to clothing section, JCPenney also has a huge toy section where we found the perfect gift for my little Disney princess love AND it was marked down. Who knew they carried Disney!? We were on the right track!
From there we moseyed our way through the men’s department where I was conflicted between sports gear and some fun gift displays filled with novelty items that make really fun gift ideas. I ended up picking up a 7 piece roadside emergency kit from Road Trip because it’s something that anyone would find valuable in an emergency AND it was marked down to $15 from $40…which is affordable for my budget! So worth it!
We took our time in the accessories department, so many scarves. I spotted one in Buffalo Check and that pattern is so on trend right now, I had to make it mine (for my sister of course). And there is an entire home décor department that I could get lost in. You can see what I picked out for my family, but check out our experience from beginning to end in this video and be sure to watch until the end where I actually present my niece with her gift a little early to capture a little holiday joy:
My goal for the #JCPchallenge was to spend less than $200 without sacrificing value of the gift I selected for each family member. I am so happy with my selection and I’m genuinely surprised to see that I saved nearly $100! This kind of savings is its own holiday gift to my bank account and it makes me SO happy!
This gifting season, take the holiday challenge at JCPenney and beat your holiday budget! Get all you want for less than you think – from hot trending items and holiday must-haves to unexpected finds – all available in-store or online at a great value.
What’s on your list this year?
This post was sponsored by JCPenney, all opinions are my own and I’m going back for more Buffalo Check.
