5. Write a blog post inspired by the word: grinch
My friend Kristi was tweeting about her experience watching The Grinch and I think she may need to author a book in the style of “Wicked” where the tale is told from the point of view of the villain:
So lemme get this straight.. baby shows up at the door, they name him Grinch (in the Book-of-Who the term Grinchy shall apply when xmas spirit is in short supply so wtf)
Then he grows up, gets bullied & runs away to the mtn and NOBODY cares enough to go looking for him. He’s 8!!— RawBeautyKristi (@RawBeautyKristi) December 15, 2017

And she’s right. Why have we never considered that The Grinch was bullied out of the community when he was a small child? Whatever happened to his biological parents? He was an orphan and rejected over the course of his entire life. No wonder he was so angry and apathetic. It’s a little too real, isn’t it?
Maybe there’s a secondary message to pick up here. Maybe those Whos down in Whoville can learn to be a little more accepting from day one and show a Grinch some love.
Next, we’ll dig into Ebenezer Scrooge’s history. I definitely need to introduce him to my kids because the other day I said “Bah Humbug” to Kainoa and he asked me when I learned to speak French…

Where did you learn to speak French? LOL? Definitely, need to get out a Scrooge movie. Maybe even read the actual story by Charles Dickens. It’s a novel, but an easy quick read.
