1. Write about your proposal.
Every time we visit Hawaii, we walk over to Sweetheart Rock and on Lanai and remember the proposal that ensnared me. Pat had planned to share the legacy of Sweetheart Rock that day, 15 years ago, but did not plan to share the moment with a couple of campers who had set up a tent directly next to his selected spot. He brought me to a cliff that overlooked the romantic rock and told me a love story about a prince from Lanai and a princess from Maui who fell in love despite warring families.
I actually shared the proposal/love story in a short video on YouTube years ago. Take a look:
(video here)
It was very sweet, and of course I said yes. Not only because it meant more future trips to Hawaii for family visits, but also because I love him. That proposal was the last romantic thing my husband ever did for me.
How did your proposal go!?
John Holton says
The last romantic thing he ever did for you? I find that hard to believe.
Mama Kat says
I mean…I may be a bit of an exaggerator at times.
John Holton says
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
Jerralea MIller says
The last romantic thing? Say it isn’t so!
Although, he did outdo himself proposing in Hawaii!
Morgan says
That’s a pretty sweet proposal!
Future trips to Hawaii for the win!
Abby says
Might be one of the few times that a proposal at a burial site is good!
May says
I did not have a romantic proposal Instead I opted to marry an engineer.
