4. Write about a time you were wrong.
This week has been a comedy of errors on my part and it just keeps happening. In my defense, Pat just came back from Hawaii last night and I’ve been managing all the adult tasks on my own. Not that handling all the adult tasks on my own is impossible it’s just that I’m used to leaning on my other half to help out with much of the running around. Left to my own devices, it seems I tend to double book myself and lack the ability to arrive anywhere on time. It seems, I’ve been wrong A LOT this week…and the week is not even over:
1. I attempted to pick my husband up from the airport at 9am when he actually was due to arrive at 9pm.
2. I took my son to the wrong soccer field on game day.
3. I was upset that the dr.’s office didn’t call me back about a prescription renewal last Friday and later realized I missed the voice message they sent me.
4. I thought it would take me 20 minutes to get to Maile’s volleyball game, it actually took me 40 and I missed the first set of her last game and I was supposed to Facetime it to Pat so he could watch in Hawaii.
5. I told my son to stop taking the bus home from school and instead look for my car in the pick up line. And then I made an appointment to see the dr. about that aforementioned prescription renewal during pick up time and forgot Kainoa completely.
6. I made an appointment for Maile thinking she had nothing happening after school when actually she had an end of the season volleyball meeting with her teammates and coach that she was forced to miss.
7. I told Laina she could stay after school to watch her middle school football game and then could not pick her up and she had to ask her friend’s mom for a ride.
8. I left a bag of chips out thinking they would be fine overnight, but while everyone was sleeping our dog pulled them into the living room, gorged himself on them and then pooped all over the room.
9. I sent a work email filled with important instructions to a group of people and gave them a deadline of 11/9 instead of 11/1.
10. I took my dogs to get haircuts knowing their shots were not up to date, but was turned away by the groomers and then got annoyed with them for allowing me to make the appointment to begin with.
I’m wrong about all the things and THIS HAS NOT BEEN MY WEEK FOR APPOINTMENTS AND DRIVING. What did you mess up this week?

Kat,
Uh-oh, I really goofed today! I used a prompt that’s not even on your list, so obviously, this is the last time I was wrong about something. *smack forehead* I’m sorry! Thanks for hosting the fun all the same and I hope everyone forgives me for not being on point this week.

Maybe you could use Google Calendar to keep all these times and places straight. I know, I’m bad about things, too, and with all the doctor and dentist appointments, I have to write things down, because Mary can’t keep them straight, either. The more you have going, the more you need to do that. You can even set up different colors for different people…

Hi Kat! Sorry, my almost retired fingers got the best of me. Please delete all but one of “My New Career” submissions! Thanks!
I carry a pocket calendar with me at all times…I love Mary Engelbreit! I don’t trust my memory for dates, places and birthdays!
Thanks for hosting this Workshop. I so enjoy being a part of it!
