8. A photo journal entry…show us what winter looks like in your town.
We got snow! I had heard it might come this past Sunday, but I didn’t know it was going to stick! I still get excited about snow days and since I work from home, they really do not disrupt my life so I am free to enjoy the pretty flakes from my window. You can feel the anticipation build up as the kids discuss whether or not an official snow day means their schools will close. It does not take much snow around here for the schools to deem it unsafe for travel so IF the snow actually sticks, there is always a good chance closure or a minimum of two hours late arrival.
The kids got lucky this week because they cashed in on not one, but TWO snow days with schools closed and an additional two hour later arrival. I made the hot cocoa, they busted out the sleds and we geared up for a snow walk. Here is what winter looks like in my town:
Even our newest foster pup Tessa enjoyed checking out the white stuff…for a minute.
Sounds like we have more snow in our future. I’m prepared!

Kat,
The snow we had last week didn’t amount to much which made me happy. Your streets look purrty slick. I hope everyone got around okay in it. We’re having a warming trend this week but another cooldown (not as bad as last week) is coming in later tonight. Great photo essay on your snow day! Thanks for hosting.

It looks nice, and I can say that because I don’t have to fight my way through it. It’s supposed to be close to 80 here today…

My cousin flew into Kansas City from Seattle on Friday because she was trying to avoid the snowy weekend. Ha. Actually, it was my moms birthday and she was here for a surprise. And she was trying to avoid the snow. We’ve had some lovely snow this year. Very Narnia like.

I heard Seattle got some rare snow. Congratulations.

I’m a bit jealous! .I live in Alabama and we hardly ever get snow here. And when they say we are getting some, we usually don’t. Your town looks so quaint and peaceful and fun, and I love the houses on your street!

It’s been such a dismal Winter here in New York, especially for snow-lovers like myself.
Trust me, I fully understand those who dislike any weather inconvenience but for me, it’s part of the beauty of living in an area where we enjoy four seasons!
We’re sitting on one more forecast due to hit tomorrow. Sadly, not just the pretty white stuff but one more snow/sleet/rain….ugh!
I’ll just keep looking at your photos and enjoy all you’ve shared!
