1. Share something that brought you joy this week.
It was a special week this week because my little niece (great-niece) Harper turned FIVE years old. I loved my own kids at this age because they are just the perfect amount of cute mixed with imagination and confidence. They are becoming a little more self reliant. They can tie their own shoes, get themselves something to drink, spell their names and maybe ride a bike.
They help in the kitchen.
Love you more than anything.
And say the darndest things.
I adored each of my kids at that age and Harper falls right in line. Since covid prevented her from having a big birthday party, Harper’s aunties and uncles did one of those drive-by parties where gifts were left on the sidewalk for the birthday girl. We honked and waved and cheered and Harper was delighted.
I told her she looked beautiful in her birthday dress and she excitedly agreed, “I know!!”
She is nearly six months seizure free and that is the biggest gift of all. Five is going to be a great year for her!

That’s wonderful news about Harper! Might be an indication that she’s gotten over it. Let’s hope, huh?
