5. Throwback Thursday. What were you blogging about last year at this time? What has changed?
Last year at this time I shared that not only did we adopt a little black kitten (Cow), but we also adopted a baby brother grey kitten (Oliver) for him to play with.
At first we had to supervise their play time together because although Cow was a baby, he was still quite a bit larger and rougher than Oliver.
One year later I am happy to report they are best brothers. They cuddle and play and also fight like brothers just like we had hoped!
Oliver still climbs up on my shoulders when he is feeling snuggly and Cow still thinks he owns the house and every living thing in it.
Last year I also mentioned that I had recaptured my missing white kitty (Isis) and although she was not thrilled with her new housemates, she did spend the entire winter and spring at home with them.
And then she ran away. Again. She is impossible to keep inside and I really think she’s got another home she prefers. Probably one without other animals. I spotted her a couple of weeks after she left us and I bribed her back with soft food, but she just ate it and walked away. I haven’t seen her since, but I always carry food with me just in case!
Meanwhile, the brothers we adopted keep us plenty busy with their shenanigans. They particularly love wreaking havoc in the middle of the night while everyone is sleeping. I wake up to broken dishes and lamps too often.
But they’re keepers!

I’d almost forgotten about the cat named Cow! Thanks for the update!
We had a cat like Isis adopt us years ago. She was the neighbor’s barn cat. We called her “Grandma” and she would snub the neighbors from our yard.

Cow and Oliver have gotten huge since a year ago. They’re the size of fuilgrown cats, and they’re only a year. Wonder if they keep growing? We had two boys, Homer and Jethro, who were orange tabbies, and they grew in a real hurry. Jethro had muscles like a tiger….
I had trouble submitting my comment yesterday, and Linky had trouble picking up the .jpg’s from my page. Don’t know why, but I have the comment problem fairly regularly.

I think it happens when I check both the “save my name” and “confirm” checkboxes at the same time,.
