I’m a sell out.

And I’m required by law to share that with you lest I wish to live the rest of my life in jail with a hoard of other rebellious mommy bloggers.

I’m not exactly sure what a “sell out” is in blog terms, but I’ve been called one a number of times and I’m deciding to embrace it. I’m assuming you’re considered a “sell out” when you decide to accept offers to receive money and free stuff in exchange for links and reviews. I like money and free stuff too much to turn it down.

I’m assuming that even though I’m a sell out and will put buttons on my blog and host giveaways and such…you’re still in control of that little mouse pad of yours and you don’t actually HAVE to click on the wonderful things I tell you to click on.

You should click on the wonderful things I tell you to click on because I won’t ever suggest you click on or buy something unless I truly think it’s wonderful.

Unless we’re talking about the movie Motherhood in which case, might I suggest if you’re going to “sell out” to your blog community you might want to consider reviewing the product (or in this case watching the movie) before you encourage other people to check it out. Oops. (Though I stand by my position that it HAD a great theme many of us can relate to even if the movie DID happen to suck.) Still. Oops.

Reviews: I don’t like to read them and I don’t like to write them so I don’t do them…unless someone is giving me something for it, in which case I sell out. But I will always tell you that I’ve been given something in exchange for my review.

Giveaways: Giveaways are work and they take away from my content. My Aunt Diane does not come to my blog to read about how I’m giving away natural soaps. My Aunt Diane comes to my blog to read about how I forced my little sister to eat poop as a youngster and I need to stay focused on that. Not on poop per se…just on what my Aunt Diane comes here to read. However if someone is giving me something to give to YOU that I think you might like, sometimes I think Aunt Diane will just have to suffer through a giveaway at the

Ads: I know they’re distracting and I don’t care. I work carefully with my OOAL network of bloggers to choose only ads that offer products we think our readers will actually enjoy, so if they’re distracting then good. Check them out, you might find something to waste your money on.
