4. Write a list of 5 things that put you in an instant better mood.
For the last few weeks I’ve written about how we’ve been affected by the Coronavirus pandemic, overall it has not impacted my household in a scary way. No one here is sick and no one here has lost a job. However, the fear that either of those things could change never really goes away. I am concerned about how our country (and the world) will come back from this. I’m concerned about the long-lasting effects of this virus, especially for my niece who is still very sick even after finally testing negative. I think it’s safe to say that all of us are worrying to a degree about how and when things will go back to normal…but there are small things that continue to put me in a good mood despite it all:
1. Cha-Ching!
The sound my phone makes when we sell something on ebay means my family will eat dinner (see number 2).
2. Dinner
Specifically, dinner that I don’t have to cook. I will always give it a happy dance.
3. New Music From Favorite Artists
Dixie Chicks are baaaackkkk:
4. Coffee.
It’s cliche and I don’t care. That first sip in the morning always makes me happy!
5. Walking Into A Clean Room
Specifically, a room that I don’t have to clean.
What puts you in a good mood?

Ahhhh…coffee!
That…should have been #1 on my “happy list” now that I think about it. Since our statewide shutdown here in New York, coffee, for me, has become even more enjoyable than usual. When working, I stumble to the coffee maker each day, ready to get fueled-up for whatever insanity awaits. Now, pouring that first cup is a gentle nudge to get through one more day, and one more after that…and so on.
And it just seems to taste so much better now that I’m not in a frenzy, rushing to get out the door!
Stay safe!

I’ll have to show Mary that GIF about doing housework with a Segway. I always wanted one of those. Here, the electric company meter reader does his route on one.

The live concerts “from home” of some of my favorite musicians has GIVEN ME LIFE! Unfortunately, I have yet to walk into a clean room in this house…
