Every Friday (sometimes Saturday because procrastination) I upload a video to my YouTube channel as part of what I’m calling my “Off The Box” series. I look at the recipes that are printed on products we buy at the store and I try them! I’ve shared some favorites here (Sour Patch Kid Cookies and Ranch Dipped Chicken Tenders), but would like to get more consistent about showing all of the recipes I’m trying on Fridays…even the terrible ones.
Today’s recipe comes straight from a package of Chicken of the Sea canned oysters. I have regrets. I like that the package of oysters comes with instructions because I might otherwise not know what to do with them, but I wish the instructions veered more toward a chowder as opposed to oysters on bread with melted cheese.
To make this luxurious appetizer, you need to brush an olive oil/garlic mixture over top thinly slices french bread and toast them in the oven.
THEN you layer a slice of prosciutto, oysters and provolone cheese. Bake that treat until the cheese has melted and you have yourself a divine little snack to impress!
And that’s it! You’re ready to dig right in!:
And here’s how the entire process went for me…along with an impromptu dance lesson. Click play:
